Does anyone have a fixture list for Riga , Latvia . my son Is going to MX des nations near Riga over the weekend 27th September and would like to take in a speedway meeting while in Latvia , could possibly travel if another track was running a meeting between 26th sept and 1st oct ,

the ban started from wwhen the fine was paid . he never paid the fine so even today he has a 2 year ban in place

or go back to be Australian sooner than anticipated

we would manage without the remaining 2 ok . and we must take steps to ensure that we don't train any more for polish and swedish league , shut the the door on Australians and Plastic british , born here and lived here for the last 10 years or no British License , Only allow non british riders of the highest averages and scrap assets . how many bought and paid for riders are no longer riding here , it's a joke .

One group whose input should be totally ignored is the riders , they have no interest in the future of speedway as long as they can get the maximium out of it while they are using it as an income stream , 99% of todays riders will walk away as soon as they stop riding and will not care what becomes of the sport , we should be listiening to the people who pay at the turnstiles and the BSPA should be debating with them what is and isn't financially viable to move the sport forward ,and never mind the wishes and wants of BSI they are in speedway for the same reason as the riders discount their input , IMO move backward to go forward ,

I would'nt worry too much , the middle division has had it's fingers burned enough times in the past , dont think they will get caught out again (hope so anyway )

Oh . apologies for the toxic comments , for a moment there i had forgotten that being a member Of the BSF also means that I am a speedway fan and therefore it is mandatory for me to Like Tai woffinden as both a person and a rider, and be interested in the the day to day affairs of his life , had you not corrected me I would probably have gone to my next speedway meeting not knowing what Tai has for breakfast , or what colour his kitchen units are , of course I will be watching I, In fact I have turned the relevant TV channel on right now and am sitting on a porta-potty to ensure even natures call cannot prevent me missing a single second of this Must see documentary of all things Woofy . I have asked my wife to flog me with a cat'o'ninetails for even thinking of watching what I actually like . as soon as I have recovered from the flogging I will do my duty as a speedway fan and remove all the posters of my speedway heroes from the garage wall and replace them with pictures of the new messiah .

Now then chaps . I think you may be being a little over critical of the Stoke Track staff here , over the years I have been to many meetings on hot sunny afternoons , the british finals at coventry always had dust problems every year , sun baked shale will always create dust , and that leads to the headache of when to actually apply the water . I dont know if any of the dissenters have ever ridden a speedway bike , but anyone who has will tell you what happens when water is applied to a track which has become slick from use , it invariably turns into a Skating rink , so track staff are caught between a rock and a hard place , because No water means the spectators and riders get their hair do's ruined by dust , or apply water and have riders sliding allover the place rider on a dangerously slippery surface , believe me if you think that was dusty yesterday you should go to an afternoon meeitng at Scunthorpe , even with their acclaimed track staff they cannot control the dust .

I will , No bother , I can be diplomatic and Just say , well Tom / Sam , the point of this exercise is to see if it is viable to have a national league team properly next year , so we need to be looking at riders who we can build the team from ,rather than busting a gut to win matches with riders who already have team places . Unfortunatley this is the way speedway goes chaps , so it's nothing personal but the leicester supprters may be a little more interested in paying to watch a team that will eventually become their own second team , rather than riders who already have team places and allegiances elsewhere , I do realise that this will cause a little dissapointment , but to be fair the team manager knows very little about speedway at this level and his actual knowledge of speedway comes from the pages of a book of statistics ,

He had a crash with the tractor at Kings Lynn , the tractor came on the track too soon after the end of the race and smith ran into the grader on the back , wound up sueing kings lynn for damages

The league has to be run to BSPA rules,good Job as well , having travelled 100s of miles to MDL meetings only to have them cancelled because some superstar wants to waste the time up to curfew practising wheelies . or some upstart track staff dont fancy waiting 15 minutes while the match gets run . MDL lads ride for nothing , some have to take time off work to get to midweek matches and all have to pay there own travel , I wonder how many times you think Danny Phillips should travel from Middlesbrough a 400 mile round trip in order to fulfill a fixture that can be dropped without good reason , you wouldn't think it's so clever then when you had stuck your hand in your pocket to watch somebody p!ss your money away

only another 2 years and you have have the gantry from Cov , I'm sure Sandhu would donate it as a parting gift from speedway . When the in initial plans for the whole site were approved , the rest of the space was to be used for other purposes , Cycling, BMX ,football , they all fell by the wayside after the speedway was built on the alloted piece of land ,
