  1. We have never heard of anyone's side ... only that he had decided not to turn up. No one has said why? The promotion has said that they always paid the riders, so what was it?
  2. It wasn't bad, best crowd for a long time, and not all Sweaties either.
  3. You'll be lucky. When Birmingham folded in 2015, it turned out that the administrators pocketed all of the cash: the season ticket holders got sod all.
  4. No! What is the use of this? The whole point of speedway is that you can see the whole race. It's inside a stadium; you don't need to be told what you are seeing.
  5. Tonight's result shows that there is no need for changes when the team all ride to their best.
  6. Auty back end of July; they would be mad to swap Shanes for Wright! (It's James who rode for Newcastle ...)
  7. Brandon was always a tip for years. While the grandstand will probably have to go, it is not essential: everything else which is needed is still there. There are few enough plush stadiums used for speedway.
  8. Not really; it was only the heat leaders who kept Plymouth in the match, and Birmingham should never have given away two of the 5-1s.
  9. Really? It doesn't seem any worse than Oxford was a while ago?
  10. They've got the licences: Glasgow apparently helped Birmingham sign Justin Sedgmen.
  11. I use Firefox with an adblock. No annoying advertisements!
  12. Anyway, we were never going to prosper in Heats 13 and 15, against the best rider in the PREMIERSHIP! And the sixth best ... Plus the latest wonder boy who was given seven rides ...
  13. The track was drenched with water before the start, but warmth and a drying wind negated that.
  14. Unfortunately, the turnip is not nearly as funny as he thinks he is
  15. You can't beat experience! He and Nicholls were the best riders on the night.
  16. Ho hum ... the usual supects spewing out their bile yet again ... can they just give it a rest now?
  17. I'm surprised that it didn't happen long ago
  18. Nonsense. There was no need whatsoever to make changes; there was no chance at all that Scunthorpe would win. Douglas was brilliant - he scored half of Scunny's points single handed - but the rest were very ordinary. As for James Pearson: he seemed to be using a Gerhardt engine, which was too slow, even though he was making the starts.
  19. What I want to know is, if this team is called Gladiators ... why do they have as a logo, a Greek helmet?
