In my experience, all of the Development League teams were run by 'people on an ego trip', which is extremely unfair on those who were doing it for the love of the sport.
-
But it was never explained why this was! They gave plenty of riders the opportunity to compete and practice.
-
And the Midland [Northern/Southern] Development Leagues need to be reinstated. This was an invaluable stepping stone between training schools and the National League; now it has (mostly) gone, people wonder why there is a shortage of riders!

Everybody knows that speedway riders come from Denmark and Poland ... the idiots destroyed the MDL/NDL some years ago. I am unable to understand why. -

But excruciatingly slow. -
And only a few months ago the usual suspects were screaming about the season extending into November! You never heard of rain-offs?

About 5 years ago, I was at an amateur meeting at Kings Lynn, where there was a young boy who was too young to race. He was so obviously mega-talented that I went to find out who he was: Drew Kemp.

At Birmingham, the lessees, AIM, control the (overpriced) food and drink: and they won't let you bring your own! And the pick up truck went years ago. In fact, the promotions have been trying all the suggestions made here for some years.

And Stoke, but not enough to make a real difference.

The originator of this thread is well named ... why do people have to be so miserable? Unless he is deliberately trolling, which is quite likely.

Ho hum. I did originally ask for constructive comments only, but the usual suspects have turned up ...

Two miles south of M6 Junction 7, on the A34.

The Masons have now said that all riders have been paid.

Like Newcastle this year, you mean? Remember, I did say 'constructive' in the first post.

Definite future world champions - or not!

Adam Roynon. When he rode for Birmingham in 2009, he was obviously going to the top; he was faster than Jason Lyons, and not many were that! But then he got injured .. again and again ... -

So time to close this one! -
They are buying the assets, such as they are: see the Birmingham website.
-
Now that the Brummies are confirmed as running next year, it's time that this thread is started! Any commnets? (Constructive, please).
-
Where is that exactly? I saw it on a Guy Martin TV programme the other day.

I am ... but 'excepted' and 'accepted' mean the diametrically opposite! -
Unlikely, he is 77 ... it is John Priest who will be helping with the track.

Yeah ... pity he's right ... -
True: it was offered to Birmingham 'until they get to know us'. The doubling of the rent was non-negotiable.

Ego the size of a stadium ... I once saw him having a temper tantrum in the pits!
