NOOOOO!!!

And BSN don't have those dreadful bimbos who plague broadcast motor sport events. I always fast-forward the one on Eurosport, and the one on the rallying programmes. So, Ben, no bimbos ... please?

2021, it had been unused for two years and had weathered badly. The Tolly regime laid a lot of new shale and it is now much better. Yeaterday, I watched a match from 2013 (v. Lakeside) on Youtube which had fantastic racing: riders going at it, many times passing both sides. Hopefully it will be as good next year.

If you ever went there, you would realise that this is not true. The reality is that Perry Barr is a much better shape than Monmore, which is much too small and with very tight bends. It was usually, though, well prepared.

A topic has opened in the Premiership section, so this thread should close.

Name of the Birmingham junior team.

Dunno; you had better go and ask him?

The new Jaguar/Land Rover engine factory by Junction 2 of the M54. About 3 miles north of Wolverhampton centre on the A449.

I have never seen an explanation as to why 'You cannot have a "ghost" team'?

This already exists: the Midland Junior League. Unfortunately, the idiot BSPL mostly destroyed it as they couldn't be bothered to run it. As for curfews, Birmingham manage to run a 15 heat main match and a MJL match before 10 pm ... and have found enough riders to run two teams.

The promoter knowing what he is doing? The previous attempt at the Elite League failed because the promoter never paid anybody ...

I spoke to Geoff Collins a couple of weeks ago about this; he just grinned and said, 'Irons in the fire'.

The Birmingham promotion have said that there is no connection with Wolverhampton. They also know that one way to get rid of the fans would be to call the team 'Birmingham Wolves'. Not going to happen.

Unless the Sweaties get the cheque book out again!

According to the Express & Star newspaper, a consortium has been set up to try to revive the Heathens, and have secured the backing of Dudley Council, with four possible sites. They have £300,000 to finance the track. One of the consortium is Geoff Collins, owner of CovComp, who runs the spares van at Perry Barr.

*JJ replied to Speedway fan's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Some years ago, I was involved helping a rider in the MDL and SDL. I was astonished at the indifference shown by promoters to training riders (but everyone knows that speedway riders come from Poland and Denmark, I suppose). It is good that Laurence Rgers at least is trying to do something. -
I sincerely hope that this was a joke, comrade?

You don't think that they care about the taxpayers, do you?

Depends what the 'banned substaces' were. Remember Ben Barker? -
Looking at Googe Earth, there are actually two tracks with the Alexander Stadium. While the main stadium is probably not on for speedway, there is no reason (except financial?) why a speedway track could not be built inside the second (training?) athletics track.
