  1. Jeremy Luckhurst was still using a Monkey Mask when he made a comeback for O*ford during the late nineties. They should be compulsory even now, they ruled!
  2. He concluded his career as follows Cradley(65,66,67),Sheffield(66,67),LEaton(69)

    Eadon

He also rode 1 meeting for Swindon in 1965. Passed away in 2002 i believe.
  4. As he took his own life some 7 years after retiring, i'd be surprised if the fact he rode Speedway was a contributory factor.
  5. There was definitely a league in 1976. I seem to remember Bert Harkins competed in it (for Bakerfield or something similar). And i have Eddie Reeves and Dave Giffard in my head as having done likewise.
  6. KEITH MILLARD Exeter(81,82,83,84), Swindon(82), Peterborough(84),RyeHouse(85),MiltonKeynes(87) NEWENT ENG 18.11.1964 British U-21 Champion 1983
  7. Henka was done more than once. Drinking and driving seems a pretty regular pastime amongst quite a few riders.
  8. Didn't Lindback give up on Speedway half way through last season?
  9. Brian Brett died in November of last year.
  10. Give it to Adam Roynon and let Woffinden alone till he makes his mind up.
  11. Unknown 1 is Alastair Brady Crewe unknown 71-2 is Barry Smitherman King's Lynn Unknown 1 is Armando Dal Chiele
  12. I have as it happens. Anyone will look dull 1/4 of a lap behind like Dryml will be for most of next year's series!
  13. Dryml and Puk should be scrabbling around 14th and 15th. 3 very dull qualifiers, nobody new breaking into the Gp's. Lindgren should be a shoe-in for a nommo with maybe Kasprzak and 2 of the non top 8 finishers
  14. NEWPORT BEACH USA 15.07.1958 Poole(79,80),Eastbourne(82) World U21 Champion 1979 (when it was called the European Junior Championship, but it's the same thing!)
  15. John Dews - Sheffield(65,66,67,68,69,70),Wimbledon(71,72),Oxford(73,74,75) Joined White City in '76 but never rode any League Meetings.
  16. I believe Jack Kitchen passed away in 1990 aged 52.
  17. I think he wasn't too high in the Christmas Card list of too many of his ex Belle Vue team mates. I recall Joe Screen was a particular fan of Mr Sulky Bjerre
  18. There's not a Pole anywhere near good enough at present. Far too often they pass 21 and their careers stagnate or fall apart.
  19. Hull rider is not Bernie Hornby, it's Dennis Wasden.
