  1. How is it possible for a rider to go out for a race and not wear gloves, if not the rider himself surely someone must've noticed.
  2. Who takes a suitcase to a speedway meeting. Just takes a bit of common sense and everyone should get in quickly and safely.
  3. Hope nobody minds me posting this on here but I am sad to report that long time servant/supporter of Berwick Speedway Jim Louden has passed, this is the tribute via the Berwick site. Jim will be sorely missed by all at Berwick Speedway. RIP Jim http://berwickbandits.co/news/jim-louden
  4. As others have said Jordan is only 15 so ineligible to race in the Championship, he has signed for Scunthorpe for the 2020 season.
  5. Lambert is putting these experiences to good use and having made the semi final`s in both the opening GP`s he must be putting in a decent argument for a wild card pick for next season.
  6. Pijper did a decent job for us last season but I`m not sure he is the answer to Gappmaier, and lets not single out Danny as there are other riders in the team not quite doing what they should on a regular bases for one reason or another. Anyway if Pijper signs I take that would put Garcia up the team, that would not make us any stronger IMO.
  7. But at least if Berwick get Eastbourne we know who to blame and its a get out of jail for the BSPA.
  8. I agree, though if the Berwick management really wanted Theo Pijper for the 2019 team he would be in with adjustments in other areas.
  9. As with Warsaw and Krsko Robert Lambert steps in as a replacement for Greg Hancock.
  10. The draw for the Championship Shield semi`s will take place during tonight's Premiership meeting between Belle Vue and Ipswich and be drawing by Nigel Pearsen and Kelvin Tatum.
  11. Unofficially looking at Danny`s scores he is averaging 8-15 at home and 3-83 away so he is riding like a heat leader at home and a reserve away. As has already been mentioned the vast majority will only see and judge him on performances at Shielfield so on that he is one of our top riders, seeing him away you get a completely different perspective.
  12. Theo Pijper didn't get a team place anywhere in the championship over the winter Berwick included, and at time of writing still hasn't got one, there is a reason for that.
  13. Congratulations to Newcastle on their win, they now go on to face Edinburgh and have a good chance of making the Final. Sadly for Berwick as most expected six points from last night was never going to be enough and so it proved though I did think if we were to go out of the KOC it wouldn't be under a bit of a wimper. The score charts dont lie, and its clear where the weaknesses were, and I dont just mean Gappmaier.
  14. If your going to lead a match once then at the end of Ht15 seems to be the ideal time, Sheffield did that so well done to them.
  15. Newcastle could only use a rider from the NL who isn't riding for a Champioship side, maybe Wallinger is the best option. Who knows a decent performance tonight might tempt Newcastle to make a change to their NO7 position, I know that would please some on here.
  16. Rule change, seems now you can use a guest to cover any rider in the team.
  17. So there should be no reason to expect Kurtz being in Poole`s next match.
  18. Maybe George was thinking he was Berwick manager that night, does nobody check read these press releases on web sites. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/18669/berwick-championship-shield-07-2019
  19. 6-30pm according to Newcastle site http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100987
  20. Enjoyable enough meeting but sadly for Berwick they are a few points short of being able to go through IMO as I thought before hand that 10-12pts minimum was needed. Very impressive from Steve Worrall and some thrilling moves from Thomas Jorgensen. Ride of the night certainly goes to Leon Flint who`s second place in Ht10 while holding off Lasse Bjerre was very impressive. As most of us thought Newcastle wouldn't be as bad as they were in the earlier match and so it proved, that makes them favourites to go through and face Edinburgh.
