Berwick v Leicester 22nd June @ 7pm

I agree with the entirely I think Leicester have more than enough to get the job done. Berwick can win tonight but I don't see us winning by anywhere near enough on aggregate -

Beautiful start to Saturday weather wise and forecast to stay that way. -
Sam had a better night after being given drugs to suppress the seizures. He has been quite restless today but we are told this normal and he has ride out the storm as the Neuro surgeon described it. Sam had a pleasant surprise with a visit from Glasgow Tigers Craig Cook accompanied by Tigers Peter Facenna. Big thank you to them for making the effort to come and visit Sam and for the bag of goodies which I'm sure Sam will enjoy wearing. Claire and Chris. Latest update on Sam.

There will be a collection tomorrow night at Berwick on behalf of Sam Norris, for those who don't know Sam was riding in the British Youth Championships at Glasgow last Sunday when he suffered a serious head injury in a crash. There are updates on Sam's progress on the Youth section on the forum under the thread Young Lions, it is obvious he faces quite a battle ahead. -
Todays update via Facebook Unfortunately Sam didn't have a good night last night due to him having seizures. He is more settled today as he's been given drugs to lessen the effect. We have had a meeting with Sam's Neuro surgeon and we have been informed of the harsh reality that his recovery will be a long one. Keep those prays and good will coming to speed the process up for our little man. Thank you. Claire and Chris.

Leicester warm up for Saturday`s second leg with an away win at Somerset. I am all for optimism, and looking on the bright side, but as already said I think Berwick have a job on just to win on the night never mind winning over two legs. -
Nobody in their right mind would sign Garrity or Barker

My season pass gets better value all the time, sadly I dont see a Final coming. -
Further update this morning on Sam via Facebook. Just a quick update on Sam's condition. He's now off the ventilator but still unconscious and clearly has a long way to go. Thank you for all your messages and prays we might not reply but we read every one to Sam hoping that he can hear us and knows that you're all thinking of him. He's going to win this race. Claire and Chris. For everyone who has asked yesterday's scan didn't show anything other than the original bleeds on the brain.

To be honest we are on the same page regarding Gappmaier`s scoring away from Shielfield, apart from Sheffield has not been good enough and if the club were to make a change then Gappmaier could have few complaints but the Gappmaier we see away from home is not the same Gappmaier we see at home and at the end of the day there are several hundred attending home matches with just several attending away matches. I`m afraid I just dont see Pijper as the answer, yes he did well last season, but I dont see him as the answer this. -
This is an update posted on Facebook earlier today. Thank you so much to all that have sent kind messages wishing Sam well. He is quite uncomfortable at the moment and has not regained consciousness as expected so he is having another brain scan today. We can only hope that there is nothing more than they already were aware of. Thank you again. Claire and Chris

If Gappmaier has no more excuses after 4 years over here, what of Pijper, he`s been racing over here since 2002, and has a lower average than Gappmaier. -
The club statement released by Sheffield doesn't mention change of race day, only that running Sheffield Speedway is impacting on other businesses the current promotion have.

As has already been mentioned Gappmaier ended last season/started this with an average of 4-84, currently he sits on an average of 5-68 so as you say he has increased his average almost all of which will be down to some big home scores, match winning home scores even. His weakness is away from home and zero scores are no good to anybody, I`ve no problem with making a change, Ive no problem in Gappmaier being that change, but please lets hope Theo Pijper is not part of those changes, if he is as good as one or two think surely he would be riding somewhere else by now, he isn't for a reason. -
