  1. In affect Newcastle have released Rose when they signed Matej Kus as a replacement.
  2. Looks like Dan Bewley is at it again this time in the European Under-21 meeting in Plzen Czech Republic where he has qualified for the Final with a 15pt maximum.
  3. No injury, just decided he needed time away, whether he would be ready to return I wouldn't know but I guess there is only one way to find out.
  4. Its difficult to see what is easy and obvious when your head is buried in the sand.
  5. Yet more impressive scoring from Leon Flint, this time its 16pts in his sides 50-40 win at Belle Vue, I think I`m right in saying that in the next week or so Leon moves from reserve to be the No1 which is quite an achievement when you look at the riders in the Birmingham team who ride regularly in higher leagues.
  6. I`ve watched Leon`s progression from the smaller cc`s right up to the 500`s and even I have been amazed at what he has been doing this season. Thing is with Leon he takes all of this in his stride and keeps his feet firmly on the floor. Hopefully the likes of him and young Kemp will progress over the next few years.
  7. I agree with you Dean, riders these days have the throttle either shut or on full gas and when they are on a track that is iffy once they hit any grip they are a passenger. That`s not to excuse the track conditions at Stoke last Saturday.
  8. Correct, I think Under-21 riders are considered as juniors and all Polish teams must have two of those at reserve. Not everything is perfect in Poland however there is something to be said for what they do with their younger riders.
  9. And how many Robert Lambert`s are there out there. Many tracks now run junior teams, and all of those deserve full credit for playing their part in trying to get young British riders on the road to hopefully a glittering career.
  10. Seems all was not well in the Somerset camp, which has lead to these changes.
  11. It was planned for Ulrich to travel home yesterday, I hope it happened and he is back very soon.
  12. I`d like to see more encouragement to sign young British riders, for example from 16-18 they should be on a protected 2pt average, from 18-21 a 4pt protected average.
  13. Of more importance IMO is the need for two paramedics, that seems to speed up any delays as one paramedic stays with the injured rider to supervise transfer to the county ambulance while the other stays on the centre green which normally lets the meeting continue.
  14. Unfortunately for Birmingham they couldn't pull off a miracle and go out of the NL KOC, yet another double figure score from Leon Flint. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/17934/birmingham-nlkoc-l2-17-2018
  15. Surely you would rather watch two seven man teams.
  16. Those that are could one of them stop off and buy our friend, fed up and hungry, a sandwich or something.
  17. To be fair to Redcar there`s not to much they could do about it, obviously Ben Barker is injured and Jorgensen meeting for Kings Lynn at Swindon will take priority over the Redcar one.
  18. Nothing wrong with his form in Poland today, where he has scored 14pts in his sides victory at KSM Krosno.
  19. Can we take it as read that you wasn't at Berwick last night, Josh Pickering may be many things but out of control isn't one of them. Silly post really.
  20. For this Thursday`s meeting with Peterborough I`m hearing that Aaron Summers guests in place of the injured Ben Barker with Josh Auty guesting in place of Thomas Jorgensen who will be riding for Kings Lynn at Swindon.
  21. Theo Pijper finished with 9pts in his World Longtrack meeting yesterday in France. The meeting was won by Matthieu Tressarieu with former Berwick rider Romano Hummel in third.
  22. I`m sure there is a valid reason somewhere, but I am struggling to find one, giving the amount of help and support you and the rest of the supporters club have giving to both club and riders you would think it would be good PR at least to do presentations in-front of the fans in the stadium.
  23. Looks like Kyle Newman has escaped any broken bones and will be back sooner rather than later. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/kyle-update/
  24. Many thanks to all those who gave up their Saturday morning to put the covers down as it saved another meeting. With the covers down all day the track was very slick which made passing very difficult and gating a premium. Apart from Wells and Erik Riss the Monarchs gave very little resistance and they will need to be much better in the KOC matches in a couple of weeks though it seems there could be a change or two coming from the Monarchs. All the Berwick riders apart from Aaron Summers, who had a night to forget, won at least one race and Matty Wethers was a good choice of guest. Great gesture from the supporters club in sponsoring the junior meeting and with their recent sponsorship of the academy riders, sad that the presentation could take place on the centre green as the donation to Jye Etheridge shouldve done so to.
