  1. I`m sure there is a valid reason somewhere, but I am struggling to find one, giving the amount of help and support you and the rest of the supporters club have giving to both club and riders you would think it would be good PR at least to do presentations in-front of the fans in the stadium.
  2. Looks like Kyle Newman has escaped any broken bones and will be back sooner rather than later. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/kyle-update/
  3. Many thanks to all those who gave up their Saturday morning to put the covers down as it saved another meeting. With the covers down all day the track was very slick which made passing very difficult and gating a premium. Apart from Wells and Erik Riss the Monarchs gave very little resistance and they will need to be much better in the KOC matches in a couple of weeks though it seems there could be a change or two coming from the Monarchs. All the Berwick riders apart from Aaron Summers, who had a night to forget, won at least one race and Matty Wethers was a good choice of guest. Great gesture from the supporters club in sponsoring the junior meeting and with their recent sponsorship of the academy riders, sad that the presentation could take place on the centre green as the donation to Jye Etheridge shouldve done so to.
  4. Take your point but IMO it would be harsh to get rid of Summers, anyway can you actually see this promotion doing that.
  5. https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/relacja/85390/2-rk-do-imj-w-vetlandzie
  6. Track was covered first thing this morning, as already posted there has been bits of drizzle around in recent times but hopefully by the time racing starts the forecast is more promising. Tapes up at 7.
  7. I got into enough bother about the lovely people of Cornhill a few weeks ago so I will pass on that. On a happier note I see Leon Flint has been made captain of the Birmingham team for tomorrows meeting at Mildenhall.
  8. Looks like Falubaz junior Alex Zgardzinski will be out of action for quite a while after a crash in training yesterday. http://zuzel.falubaz.com/post/fatalny-upadek-na-treningu-kontuzja-zgardy
  9. Still dry at the minute but rain is still forecast. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/0/2655819
  10. Only three positions in any team is fixed, the top rider in the averages must ride at No1 with the bottom two average riders at six and seven without preference. After that its up to the team manager and riders to sort out positions 2,3,4 and 5.
  11. Matej Kus on that average is indeed a bargain but would he be available for all of Rye`s Wednesday meeting as I think the Czech league runs on that night and Kus is part of the Marketa Prague squad.
  12. Predictable enough result though Berwick did at least do 2pts better last night than the previous night at Sheffield which is something.
  13. Berwick 1 Aaron Summers 2 Kevin Doolan 3 Jye Etheridge 4 David Howe 5 NB Jacobsen 6 Mathew Wethers 7 Danny Gappmaier Edinburgh 1 Ricky Wells 2 Joel Anderson 3 Josh Pickering 4 Mark Riss 5 Erik Riss 6 Coty Garcia 7 Max Ruml Weather at the minute if fine and dry but there is rain forecast for later today, fear not though as the track is being covered this morning so there shouldn't be any problems.
  14. I doubt there`s a Berwick fan out there, that isn't locked up for their own safety anyway, thought they would stay at the top.
  15. I didn't expect a win, nor a point, but I thought Berwick could muster up more than thirty two. Credit to Gappmaier and Howe who at least showed some resistance but the others, well they will need to provide a better performance tonight at Lakeside than last night at Sheffield.
  16. Sadly for Buxton even 30pts would be a surprise.
  17. Not necessarily as race sponsorship would still be available on any race card, anyway looking through any programme how much is actual sponsorship where companies pay for their space or how much is companies who provide a service to the speedway and get free advertising space in the programme in return. Might open up new venues for sponsorship opportunities.
  18. IMO the speedway programme has become dated, a simple race card would do just as good a job.
  19. Leon Flint finished a creditable 9th in yesterdays 250cc European Championship in Randers Denmark. He was the top British rider with 7pts, his fellow countrymen Nathan Ablitt and Jordan Palin finished with 5 and 3pts respectively. The meeting was won by Denmark`s Marcus Birkemose with 15pts.
  20. Apart from SGP meetings I get a programme, thing is I never keep them and they usually end up in the bin after a few weeks.
  21. The supporters club has been the one constant success over the years at Berwick and without their donations the club would be in a sorry state, possibly/probably not there at all.
  22. There`s a bit of news we didn't see coming. http://www.poolepirates.co/news/2018-06-11_ford-moves-forward-without-holder.html
  23. Going by the latest averages on the BSPA site Pijper is the lower average of the two reserves, but as long as the BSPA recognise the Longtrack GP series Berwick should still get a guest facility.
  24. Leon`s European Final due to take place in Denmark today has been postponed due to rain, it will now take place tomorrow at 5pm.
