  1. There should be no need for the other clubs in the Championship to join forces to force any rule, if the rule exists then all clubs should abide by it.
  2. It might've been an idea to get this signed and sealed by the BSPA before making any premature announcements especially when you have Craig Cook himself tweeting his signing. Personally I hope this move comes off as IMO it will be good for rider, club and the league.
  3. Might all be irrelevant anyway as the BSPA have yet to clear Cook signing for Glasgow so until he is Worrall will stay in their 1-7. Also there`s no chance of Doolan being the rider to be released.
  4. Why, currently Berwick are in a play off place, surely that is something we want to aim for as it would at least extend our season. Looking at the latest averages on the BSPA site if we want one out one in then the only rider we could drop is Kevin Doolan, anyone else puts us over the points limit, that of course if the averages haven't changed after last Saturday.
  5. If, and its a big if Worrall is available and Berwick could afford him, its a no brainer to sign him. Came close to signing for Berwick a couple of years ago, IMO he could be the No1 we are missing in the team.
  6. You're right so no bother with a guest facility.
  7. He isn't our highest average reserve so Berwick will have to hope the BSPA recognise Longtrack GP`s as a meeting where guests are granted, lets face it though the recognise lower meetings so we should be allowed a guest, should we need one of course.
  8. Theo Pijper drawn at No12 for this Sundays Longtrack GP at Roden, Holland. Any word yet as to if he will be at Berwick this Saturday.
  9. If Scunthorpe have any ambitions of making the play offs they need to be looking for a win this Saturday, Berwick currently above them in the league but catchable IMO.
  10. At the end of it all if the customer is feeling short changed or feeling they aren`t getting value for money will either go elsewhere or not go at all, that is what is happening right now at Berwick.
  11. To be fair to Workington its been on their website since this morning that Campton and Proctor would both very likely miss this meeting. Obviously Workington have been trying to secure a guest for either of their injured riders without success.
  12. Big fuss over very little as Birmingham were always going to be far to strong for Buxton with or without Gary Flint.
  13. Gary Flint`s comeback after eleven years away from racing didn't happen today as Buxton objected to his inclusion in the Birmingham team. Better news however on Leon Flint who scored 15+1 in the same meeting.
  14. Didn't hear anything announced last night as to whether Theo Pijper will be with us next Saturday. He is due to race in the Longtrack GP in Holland next Sunday, meeting starts at 12-30pm with practice at 9am.
  15. Most Berwick have supported their team though, through thin and thin recently but there comes a point where the cost of admission isn`t worth what you are watching on track. Last season on many Saturday nights I walked out of Shielfield Park feeling I had value for money, even when we lost. This season that hasent happened anywhere near as many times, so you could ask what are they doing different in track prep from last season to this.
  16. According to the Workington site Mason Campton is a major doubt for this one and Ty Proctor is described as very unlikely to ride.
  17. Said many times before I know but I get the feeling this winters AGM really is the last chance to get some things at least sorted, rumours persist that there is one Championship team who hasn't paid their riders for a week or two, and a Premiership team who are the verge of going the same way as Rye House.
  18. Thing is I dont expect every race to be a thriller, all i ask is value for my £15 entrance, IMO the last two weeks at the least have failed to deliver that.
  19. Went down in a tight first turn in Ht3 but did walk back to the pits, seemed to have arm or shoulder injury, hopefully none to serious.
  20. Revolving doors at virtually every other Premiership club, so why shouldn't Somerset join in. Bit of a surprise in signing Summers though, that a long drive from his current base just outside Berwick for every home meeting.
  21. Take nothing away from Workington they thoroughly deserved their win, even more impressive when you consider they lost their best rider and were carrying young Bickley at reserve. Sadly it looks very much like yet another season that is going to peter out at Berwick, must admit, and this is the first time I`ve ever posted this but if last week and again this week is anything to go by the actual racing entertainment at Berwick is virtually zero with no passing of any note then I will certainly be picking and choosing my meetings from here on in, thing is there arent to many more meetings left to pick and choose from.
  22. After losing his team in the Premiership Aaron Summers has now signed for Somerset.
