  1. Must admit at no point last night did I think I was watching a fixed meeting, just a bit of a farce due to the mistaken thinking that promotion/relegation would work.
  2. Not a lot of point of just jumping on the back of the current Chairman, I believe his views are shared by quite a few of his fellow promoters, hence the problems we have in speedway which has been on a steady decline for a few years now with little or no much needed significant change in that time.
  3. Looks like we have coverage on the local radio station, hopefully this link works. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/motorsport/41546175
  4. Not good news on Charles Wright, not nice seeing he could be out for months. http://redcarbears.co/2017/10/10/charles-wright-update/
  5. Promotion/Relegation was always doomed to fail, last night just confirmed it.
  6. Agree with Topsoil regarding doubling up riders, if as is rumoured and the Premiership do go onto Monday Thursday fixed night racing then that should help matters. I don`t think there`s anywhere near enough riders to go to one big league and anyway the gap between the best riders and the riders down at reserve would be way to big.
  7. Robert Lambert is a talent, but Newcastle deserve better than they have got from their No1 at times this season.
  8. Fair point regarding Lakeside, but if relegation/promotion is to work, and be taken seriously, you can`t have a team simply being air lifted from the bottom tier of speedway into the top league.
  9. While I`ve no doubt that the good people of BT Sport will hype this meeting up to an inch of its life most of us know that as far as relegation.promotion is concerned its a bit of a non starter.
  10. Biggest problem with Emil IMO is lack of consistent results. He has the talent to win any GP on any track on any night but still has nights where he hardly scores a point. Until he cures that he wont be a World Champion.
  11. At this time of year just about every year there are rumours of troubles at clubs all over the place, thankfully on most occasions they are simply rumours, lets hope that the doubts surrounding future speedway at Brough Park remain just that.
  12. Unlike last year I hope lady luck shines on Jason Doyle and he gets the job done tonight.

  14. Seems Bridger has taking up training to be a barber in the Bexhill area.
  15. No Lindgren BREAKING | Freddie Lindgren's season has been ended by a back injury. We wish him a speedy recovery. Read more http://bit.ly/2xSaUQP
  16. Congratulations to all at Sheffield Speedway, deserved Champions, best team all season.
  17. Still life left in this tie, though Sheffield have pulled off a good move by bringing in Scott Nicholls who should prove the tie on aggregate swings it Sheffield`s way.
  18. Sounds like a bit of a night in Manchester, hopefully Lindgren will be ok to take his place in the Final and the bottle/can throwing numpties found, dealt with, then reported to the authorities as those kind of supporters we dont need in speedway than you very much.
  19. Sheffield have been the best team this season and I hope they can go on to win the play offs. Go Tigers.
  20. Well done to Leszno, half way through it seemed the title was heading to Wroclaw but Leszno pulled things round in the last few heats. Not a great weekend for Tai.
  21. Steve`s right though, a classic this isn't. Thankfully the aggregate scores are still close enough to provide any excitement though it does seem a bit gate and go.
