  1. Partly through their own decisions Peterborough will field a weakened team tonight, that may put one or two off attending. As a gesture of goodwill could Rathbone not use some of the money he got from Torun to compensate Newcastle.
  2. Hugely enjoyable meeting and certainly worth the admission, and very nice to win a tight meeting for a change. Peterborough forced their way back into the meeting with an 8-1 in Ht9 and then a 5-1 in Ht14 looked to have Peterborough as favourites going into the last race but thanks to Nick Morris and another heroic ride from David Howe saw the home side home. Hopefully all the injured riders will be able to take part in their next meetings especially Ulrich Ostergaard who survived a nasty looking accident when running into Steve Worrall and Jack Parkinson Blackburn who ended his night in an ambulance due to a Ht12 crash.
  3. Looks like Peterborough have been granted no facility and were due to use Jack Parkinson Blackburn in place of Holder, not so sure that will still be the case as JPB was injured at Berwick last night.
  4. Your comparing Jye Etheridge with Ivan Mauger.
  5. While it remains cloudy the rain we had earlier has all but stopped.
  6. Dont worry us morons will find something to bleat about next week the week after and any other week you want to name. Maybe we could bleat about posters who come onto threads and complain about other posters bleating.
  7. Bit of drizzly rain around this morning but the forecast for today looks pretty good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819 Berwick will use Jack Parkinson Blackburn as their guest for Lee Payne, while Peterborough are yet to confirm their guest for the No7 position.
  8. Maybe he did know what was coming, or maybe as others have mentioned he wasn't to bothered either way. And no and no.
  9. Update from Lewis Bridger on his injury, taken from his Twitter page. Update on my injury I've managed to start some Strength and Conditioning but I'm no where close to where I need to be to return racing 1/2
  10. I was at Peterborough last Sunday and thought the altercation was between Cook and another riders mechanic, from what I saw I`d be surprised if Cook received any ban for what looked no more than, as you say, handbags. Happens all the time, Robert Lambert didn't take his place in the Newcastle team at the 4`s last Sunday yet rode for Kings Lynn in their meeting against Somerset last Monday.
  11. Pre SWC Cook looked the real deal, British Champ and winning two qualifiers on his road to the GP Challenge. Since then his form and confidence has just about deserted him, maybe its nerves, maybe it mechanical, maybe he is putting to much pressure on himself, whatever it is he needs to get back to his form he has earlier in the season. When he qualified for the GP Challenge I genuinely thought he had a chance of getting to next years SGP, now I dont see him finishing anywhere near a qualifying spot.
  12. No more tittering at Poole's expense please people, this is serious.
  13. As with most weeks you will find out the starting teams when you pick up your programme. Guest for Payne ?.
  14. Don't think there's much fear of Holder walking away with nothing, at the end of the day Holder deserves his ban. I wonder if he will be the only Holder to be banned.
  15. That's a different argument, and some will agree with you, however there will never be just one league over here. Two would be better IMO.
  16. No it doesn't, trying to accommodate the big name riders has probably contributed to the mess we have now. Regular night racing with regularly seven man teams is much more important than seeing the big name riders IMO.
  17. Aussies stop whining, you obviously haven't been over on Twitter this afternoon.
  18. Does the punishment fit the crime, seems to me that Holder is carrying the can for other riders who were probably just as keen not to ride.
  19. Giving some of his performances with Torun this season that kind of money wont be there next season.
  20. Will Holder jnr be there or will the Peterborough promotion have a few extra quid in the bank but no Holder at Berwick, he is already missing at Newcastle the night after.
  21. Not Hancock`s biggest fan but IMO if he makes it known he will continue at SGP level then he will get a wild card pick.
  22. http://peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3160.2 Confirmed here that Holder will miss the meetings at Newcastle and Scunthorpe, for which IMO Peterborough should receive no facility.
