Great to see Craig Cook getting to the Challenge, hopefully he can make it through to SGP. -

Ipswich V Berwick 15/6/17
screm replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wasn't pleased with the meeting then, hopefully you weren't at the KOC meeting earlier this season where Berwick turned up with arguably a better team and scored less points. So at least you could agree we are getting better round Ipswich, hopefully by September all our injured and missing riders will be back and we can give the home team a good meeting. -

No Pedersen for the next GP, very difficult to see him making any impression on the top eight now. http://nickipedersen.com/en/status-on-nickis-injury/ -
Very odd looking Ht15.

Not a fan then, though opinions of Bridger of those at Berwick are slightly different. Bridger started the season on JRM equipment and Revolution Racing sponsorship, both of which didn't work out for the rider. Since switching to GM kit he has done far better, then got injured in a crash at Berwick. IMO Bridger if fit would've been good enough to make the ten man squad though probably not good enough to make the final team. -

Cue riders who didn't quite make it blame the inability to find a set up as their reason of not qualifying. -

Yes, I think the only way we could use a guest up to his average is if we claim Gappmaier is with holding his services, though if that happens he`d get an automatic 28-day ban. Surely a much better way was for Gappmaier to announce his retirement after Sunday`s meeting with Peterborough then about this time next week have a re-think and he`s back in the team though even the BSPA would surely see through that little caper. -

His van hasn't been outside Cara House all week so I`m guessing he headed off after Sunday`s meeting at Peterborough. Still don`t see why Gappmaier cant be at Ipswich. -

Birmingham Speedway @BrumSpeedway 3m3 minutes ago More BIRMINGHAM have suffered yet another major setback after captain Darryl Ritchings informed the club of his decision to quit the sport. -
Looks like Porsing could be out longer than expected, he has a fracture in his leg and has internal bleeding in his calf. By the end of this week doctors will decide if he requires an operation.,

Unless he`s walking I fail to see why Gappmaier cant get from Ipswich on a Thursday to Terenzano on a Saturday. Of the others Payne and Bridger are injured so there is little that could be done there, while Morris has to ride for Swindon as their fixtures take president over Berwick`s, something that will happen again before the season is out no doubt. As others have said bit of a shambles really. -
Matej`s average would be 7-64, so a direct swap of Kus for Lindgren seems ok given that the Newcastle team average according to the BSPA is 41.86.
-
What has Lindgren done so wrong that it seems he should be the one to go, true his average has fallen but not by that much, maybe a little support to a rider still averaging more than seven points a meeting. I would love to see Matej Kus back racing over here, maybe even at Newcastle but is Lindgren being made the scapegoat for others failings.

The Redcar Bears fixture which was to have taken place on July 1st will now take place a week early on June 24th I believe. -
If Danny Ayres fails to make it it will be Liam Carr who comes in to guest.

Congratulation to Leon Flint on winning the latest round of the British 250cc championship at Rye House yesterday, he won all his qualifying races plus the final to complete a 15pt maximum and extend his lead at the top of the standings. Leon`s next meeting will be in the Czech Republic where he will race in the European Championships. -

Lambert at reserve is a giving, surely even Roscoe can see that. After that I would like to see Craig Cook, Chris Harris, Danny King be in the team, after that you are down to one of either Worrall or Scott Nicholls for the remaining place and I hope Steve Worrall gets the final place. -
If Lambert`s injury is confirmed and he will miss a few meeting, then Peterborough had better get in quick if they are wanting Liam Carr, he wont be out of a Championship team for much longer.
-
Covers do work, there is no argument there, but track covers are going to be able to be used at every track for reasons that have already been mentioned. Even Berwick once the football season starts, and Berwick Rangers are playing at home, will not be allowed to use them.

Simon Lambert is off to hospital with a suspected broken wrist, hopefully the hospital will have good news. Hopefully Simon will be back racing very soon.
