  1. Nothing wrong with bald as a coot, some of us have little choice in the matter.
  2. Whilst I agree with your sentiment you can`t give up on your team in the bad times, and boy have we seen some bad times. The averages worked against Berwick with their search for a Bridger replacement as we had a riders true average way higher than his actual average and bringing in better riders would`ve meant Berwick making more than one change, though I agree there`s little to be excited about signing Jacobs. In general the actual racing this season has been decent, and very good at times and as someone who wants to see good speedway I have had value for money most weeks and will keep going though it would be nice to see Berwick track seven of their own riders, keep those seven riders for the full meeting and win now and again. Glad you enjoyed your curry.
  3. Newcastle certainly have a job ob to pull this back, they need everything to go in their favour.
  4. To be fair to Berwick it is much better than it was and having a second paramedic has been a great idea.
  5. Signing Jacobs does make us weaker IMO, but just as the averages worked for us earlier in the season with Gappmaier they have worked against us in trying to find a replacement for Bridger. Well done to Redcar on their win last night, but again injuries hit Berwick. Even with Etheridge Berwick would still have lost as he wasn't having the greatest night up to his accident anyway, thankfully it seems he has got away without serious injury so hopefully he will be back sooner rather than later. Wonder what's happened to Gappmaier, he has gone from potential match winner to looking completely uninterested last night, the promotion and fans deserve better.
  6. Apart from last night when we had a delay while waiting for the County ambulance to take the unfortunate Jye Etheridge to hospital.
  7. Alfie Bowtel again guests for Berwick at No7.
  8. No problems, bright and breezy so far and forecast to stay that way. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  9. No I wasn't, I am just going off the updates that says the riders were un-happy with the track, also post 32 that says why were people standing around for the best part of an hour waiting for the track to be sorted.
  10. Josh Grajczonek guests tonight in place of Morris.
  11. Losing Nick Morris last night has certainly made a tough task all the tougher for tonight. Hopefully we can attract a good guest to cover Morris.
  12. Congratulation to Peterborough on their win, but under the circumstances Berwick do come away with no points but plenty of credit giving the strength of their team. Maybe if the Panthers are looking to make another signing it should be someone who can prepare their track as asking your paying customers to stand around for over an hour while you get the track up to standard is unacceptable IMO. The weather country wide has been good all week so its no like they can use that as an excuse.
  13. As you say hopefully he will be ok, judging by the updates EoES require a track man.
  14. Possibilities of a guest required for tomorrows meeting as Nick Morris has crashed in Ht1 at Peterborough and withdrawn from the meeting.
  15. Absolutely, its refreshing to see a rider do that. There`s many a rider out there who wouldn't.
  16. Couldn't agree with you more in fact its very rarely I go on the Berwick site anymore, and it appears our news letter has dies a death.
  17. No problems at all weather wise. Having won here a few weeks ago Redcar will be keen to do the same tomorrow. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  18. Best wishes to Liam Carr on a speedy track return after a crash at IOW last night. Seems there is nothing broken but plenty of bruising. Odd happenings after the crash though, at first the referee excluded Kelsey Dugard as being the cause of the stoppage, only for Liam to admit the accident was his fault and the referee changed his mind and excluded Liam.
  19. Lewis Kerr comes in to guest for Jason Garrity.
  20. That`s not how I saw it at all, IMO Miedzinski was turning left on Doyle most of the way down the home straight and was rightly excluded. What does everyone else think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzNXb5bF5_c
  21. Firstly I would like to wish Lewis Bridger a speedy recovery, he will be a big miss as IMO the signing of Jacobs is a mistake as it now puts added pressure on Morris, Howe and Doolan to keep coming with the points, have a poor night and Berwick are in trouble. Had Jacobs started at reserve then fair enough but not in the main team, I can see another Liam Carr scenario where we have a reserve rider in the main team.
  22. Had a coming together with Medzinski in the Torun Falubaz meeting last night and looked to have suffered a foot injury.
  23. Not quite what you originally posted, Doyle did very little wrong IMO. Medzinski was going left on him most of the way down the home straight.
  24. After coming through the qualifying round yesterday, Berwick`s Leon Flint takes part in the European Championship Final today, the meeting takes place at Plzen in Czech Republic. Meanwhile Nick Morris has top scored for his Polish team today, he scored 9pts in his side heavy defeat at Gdansk though they weren't helped by having no rider at one or two in the team.
