Berwick 2017 50th Year
screm replied to balderdash&piffle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Absolutely, its refreshing to see a rider do that. There`s many a rider out there who wouldn't. -
Couldn't agree with you more in fact its very rarely I go on the Berwick site anymore, and it appears our news letter has dies a death.

No problems at all weather wise. Having won here a few weeks ago Redcar will be keen to do the same tomorrow. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819

Berwick 2017 50th Year

Best wishes to Liam Carr on a speedy track return after a crash at IOW last night. Seems there is nothing broken but plenty of bruising. Odd happenings after the crash though, at first the referee excluded Kelsey Dugard as being the cause of the stoppage, only for Liam to admit the accident was his fault and the referee changed his mind and excluded Liam. -

Lewis Kerr comes in to guest for Jason Garrity. -
That`s not how I saw it at all, IMO Miedzinski was turning left on Doyle most of the way down the home straight and was rightly excluded. What does everyone else think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzNXb5bF5_c

Firstly I would like to wish Lewis Bridger a speedy recovery, he will be a big miss as IMO the signing of Jacobs is a mistake as it now puts added pressure on Morris, Howe and Doolan to keep coming with the points, have a poor night and Berwick are in trouble. Had Jacobs started at reserve then fair enough but not in the main team, I can see another Liam Carr scenario where we have a reserve rider in the main team.

Had a coming together with Medzinski in the Torun Falubaz meeting last night and looked to have suffered a foot injury. -

After coming through the qualifying round yesterday, Berwick`s Leon Flint takes part in the European Championship Final today, the meeting takes place at Plzen in Czech Republic. Meanwhile Nick Morris has top scored for his Polish team today, he scored 9pts in his side heavy defeat at Gdansk though they weren't helped by having no rider at one or two in the team. -

Great to see Craig Cook getting to the Challenge, hopefully he can make it through to SGP. -

Ipswich V Berwick 15/6/17

Wasn't pleased with the meeting then, hopefully you weren't at the KOC meeting earlier this season where Berwick turned up with arguably a better team and scored less points. So at least you could agree we are getting better round Ipswich, hopefully by September all our injured and missing riders will be back and we can give the home team a good meeting. -

No Pedersen for the next GP, very difficult to see him making any impression on the top eight now. http://nickipedersen.com/en/status-on-nickis-injury/ -
Very odd looking Ht15.

Speedway World Cup 2017
screm replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not a fan then, though opinions of Bridger of those at Berwick are slightly different. Bridger started the season on JRM equipment and Revolution Racing sponsorship, both of which didn't work out for the rider. Since switching to GM kit he has done far better, then got injured in a crash at Berwick. IMO Bridger if fit would've been good enough to make the ten man squad though probably not good enough to make the final team. -

Cue riders who didn't quite make it blame the inability to find a set up as their reason of not qualifying. -

Yes, I think the only way we could use a guest up to his average is if we claim Gappmaier is with holding his services, though if that happens he`d get an automatic 28-day ban. Surely a much better way was for Gappmaier to announce his retirement after Sunday`s meeting with Peterborough then about this time next week have a re-think and he`s back in the team though even the BSPA would surely see through that little caper. -

His van hasn't been outside Cara House all week so I`m guessing he headed off after Sunday`s meeting at Peterborough. Still don`t see why Gappmaier cant be at Ipswich. -

Looks like Porsing could be out longer than expected, he has a fracture in his leg and has internal bleeding in his calf. By the end of this week doctors will decide if he requires an operation.,
