  1. Havent heard any update on Danny Ayres so hopefully no news is good news, David Howe hurts all over, also he thinks he has broken some ribs and just a chance of a broken arm though that is yet to be confirmed. Danny Ayres has declared himself fit to ride today in the Cradley v Lakeside meeting.
  2. Inside stadium track staff now starting to take covers off, leave an extra five minutes as the stewards are doing bag searches at the turnstiles. Looking brighter now looks like covers might save the day again.
  3. Yes we have had a proper thunderstorm. At the track and it's still raining
  4. Forecast for this afternoon has changed for the better now, still a chance of catching a shower but not as much as before. Currently another lovely warm day.
  5. Doesn't she have a point though, some of the contracts being handed out by some NL clubs make a mockery of what the league is supposed to do.

  7. King's Lynn Speedway‏ @KLSpeedway 30s31 seconds agoMore KING’S Lynn regret to announce they have taken the decision to withdraw from the Travel Plus National League with immediate effect. Full statement from Kings Lynn Speedway. http://www.kingslynnstars.co/news.php?extend.30440
  8. Information from Berwick Facebook page. STADIUM SECURITY UPDATE Following the attack at the Manchester Arena this week, when 22 lives were tragically lost and many injured, plus the updated change in the 'terror threat alert' across the UK to 'critical', new guidelines have been issued to all stadiums in the UK in order to ensure the safety of customers, fans and of staff. So with immediate effect, along with other stadiums and arenas in the UK, Shielfield Park Stadium is to put in place additional security measures and bag checks, these being carried by persons as they approach or come into the stadium. Stadium Management advise that if anyone refuses to allow their bag or bags to be searched by Stadium Security/Stewards, they will be REFUSED entry into the Stadium. It is therefore requested for safety and convenience that fans take this into account and arrive early (Gates open 6pm) if that is at all possible and consider not bringing in bags at all or bring only essential items in small bags. Customers are reminded that there is a wide range of food and beverages on sale within the Stadium at reasonable prices, so there is no need to bring large bags containing items like flasks and own prepared or pre-purchased food items and in the interests of security they would ask that people desist from doing so. The club remind fans of stadium guidelines on bringing food and drink into the stadium, this contained within ‘Admission Details’ each week on Page 4 of the Meeting programme. The club and visiting club, Redcar, will hold a minute's standing silence before we start the racing tomorrow, Saturday 27th May, as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives on Monday and to their friends, families and the City of Manchester and invite all fans and staff to join them. The club remind everyone attending sporting meetings and other events across the country in the coming days, weeks and months that vigilance is necessary in these times.
  9. Isnt it just like the thing, been gorgeous in Berwick this week with long spells of warm sunny weather, looking at tomorrows forecast that might change tomorrow afternoon. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819?day=1
  10. Barker not racing for Redcar tonight in their home meeting with Scunthorpe, should he not make Berwick this Saturday that could swing things for the home team.
  11. With Berwick losing the extra rides for Gappmaier then Bridger will need to show the kind of form many of us believe he is capable of. Must admit its a struggle to split these two for this Saturdays meeting.
  12. Get to the meeting if you can, I`ve been to a couple of SWC events and an EL meeting and it never disappoints. Facilities are ok with refreshment facilities along home and back straight.
  13. By his own admission Brough Park is not one of Danny`s favourite tracks, but he did step in at short notice and gave it a go, ok he could've done better but with the time and average Peterborough had tp play with Gappmaier was one of the better options.
  14. But wins his second ride, much more like it from Nicki.
  15. Much more encouraging for Pedersen there, showing NKI home on his own track.
  16. All looked very promising for the first lap or so, then it was back to the same story, Nicki just isn`t quick enough just now.
  17. For tonight's meeting at Gorzow it looks like Nicki Pedersen will be using GTR engines.
  18. Looks like Nicki Pedersen will be the latest rider to test out the GTR engine in his Polish league match at Gorzow tonight.
  19. There was a few at Berwick last night, who were going onto Newcastle tonight.
  20. Peterborough are going through a tuff time of late so I`m expecting a very comfortable home win.
  21. I get the reason to start afresh but they could've started the rolling averages from the start of the season, going back to monthly averages is a backward step IMO and will be abused. Rolling averages weren't perfect but at least was harder to abuse.
  22. I hope so to, I believe Bridger certainly has the talent and with bikes to match can be a heavy scorer.
