  1. According to this Danny Gappmaier is riding tonight. http://berwickbandits.co/news/bandits-2017-v201-prepare-take-track
  2. A nine point return on the face of it is a decent night for Carr, though look at who finished in-front of, Championship reserves, riders who I would expect Carr to be beaten. Hopefully though points against his name in a National Final will give Liam some much needed confidence if nothing else.
  3. I thought Watt had retired about two seasons ago.
  4. Can we take it you haven't seen much of Berge at Berwick this season, believe me some of his performances of been down right abject and putting bike problems down as the reason is embarrassing. For example last Saturday night it had to be announced from the box that it might be a good idea for him to finish a race where his partner had fallen than for some reason decided to join the race again, during which Berge all but gave up racing. Wish him all the best for the future but IMO Berwick are better off without him, maybe not stronger just better off.
  5. I think Nick Morris will prove to be a good signing, by his own admission he hasn't raced enough in recent season so I`m sure he will be keen to do well. IMO the club still havent addressed the problem of running with three reserves, in fact you could argue things have got worse as potentially we now have four, Payne, Gappmaier, Ethridge and Carr, I suppose if Gappmaier continues in his current form then you can take him out of the list but even so I still think we are very weak lower down the team. Quite happy to see Berge go as he clearly didn't want to be here and IMO it would've been Carr to leave to as they have been our weakest links so far this season so disappointed to see Vissing go, whatever the differences between rider and club could've been worked out surely, not unless that route had already been explored.
  6. Home win but surely Berwick will do better than their last visit.
  7. Latest rumour, and we all like a rumour don`t we, is that its Berge and Vissing out with Patrik Hougaard and Stefan Nielsen in. Seems loittle doubt that it will be Berge and Vissing who leave but club but who comes is anyones guess at the minute. No idea on averages or points it would leave us but I would make two changes, maybe three. For the good of the team I would let Berge and Carr go, and depending on length of absence due to injury Blacklock to. That of course would mean keeping Vissing but he has shown this season he is capable of hitting big scores so maybe a sit down between rider and manager would sort thing out.
  8. Talk about comeback, Scunthorpe six up after eight races and go on to lose by sixteen, it takes quite a bit of doing but they have somehow managed it.
  9. I agree with you that Vissing should've been in Ht15 last week against Glasgow, that certainly was a strange one.
  10. Having a bad day are we. How can I be manure stirring when I have put a link of a report from Friday`s/Saturday`s meeting from Denmark. On parade last night it was announced that Gary Havelock would put the clubs position at some time during last nights meeting, obviously that didn't happen. Dennis in the box did announce that while he would leave the team manager to make an official statement the club was disappointed, make of that what you will.
  11. Looking at this there seems no reason for Vissing to miss last nights meeting, the SGP Qualifier he was due to ride in was abandoned after two races on Friday, by the looks of it the re-arranged date is due to April 27th but even that is in doubt. IMO Vissing has gone off in one but huff and I think we have seen the last of him. http://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/681924/dunskie-eliminacje-do-grand-prix-i-sec-przerwane
  12. I`d be surprised if Bridger moves away from his sponsorship with Revolution for the very reasons you give, but clearly after coming out on Liam Carr`s bike and performing so well there`s question to be asked of Revolution about the engines they are supplying their rider.
  13. Is the Revolution Racing sponsorship also tide in with JRM Racing, could they not just switch Bridger onto GM`s.
  14. I am sure there will be changes, hopefully before our next home meeting, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if things were already moving from the management. Speaking of which best wishes and a speedy recovery to Scott Courtney who was in hopital last night having his appendix removed.
  15. Carr has had a couple of accidents recently that must knock his confidence, but in general his scoring has been poor so his place in the team must be in question and somehow I done see dropping to reserve improving things. Bridge showed last night Carr's kit is quick enough.
  16. All in all quite a night last night at Shielfield, first off well done to Scunthorpe on their way, yes Berwick can claim that luck was against them at times but to put last nights defeat purely down to bad luck would be wrong and very unfair on Scunthorpe. Clearly now, last nights defeat makes changes to the Berwick team inevitable, I think we will see two, first out will go Claus Vissing who appears would rather chase some kind of SGP dream than race for Berwick, that and it appears he didn`t leave the track last week in a van but on the huffy bus after not being selected for Ht15, either way I don`t see anyway back for Claus. Fair to say the club are disappointed to say the least with him. Any hope of Berwick getting anything out of last night probably ended in Ht10 with Bridger, on a tactical, coming down on the first bend, hoping for a rerun, not getting one, leaving the track then rejoining the race miles behind everyone else and still overtaking his partner ( Berge ), who had by that stage all but giving up. Mr Berge would be the second rider out for me, clearly doesn't want to be at Berwick and his attitude and performance last must have put any doubts in the managers head to bed. Couple of positives, first Gappmaier, in the form of his life just now and Bridger, must faster out of the starts when on Liam Carr`s bike and still compeditive so I think there will be some talking to be done between rider and sponsor as, as we all suspected, his problems some to be machine and not rider.
  17. No problem in admitting Berwick were beaten by the better team tonight, all credit to Scunthorpe on their win.
  18. Don`t think you`ll be to far off with your score prediction.
  19. From an interview he gave at the start of the season it would seem more of the latter and less of the former though I`m sure he is giving his crew all the information they need to get a set up. IMO Bridger has the speed and track craft round Shielfield to be a heavy scorer but at the minute his gating is letting him down and you cant give opposition riders any kind of head start.
  20. Cloudy but dry start to this race day, and forecast to stay that way.
  21. No problems weather wise tomorrow so we`re all good to go. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819 I still cant see anything other than a home win, Berwick are just stronger than Scunthorpe, end of. Yes the inclusion of Riss at reserve is a good move, and yes Scunthorpe put in a good performance last Saturday at Workington but I dont see them repeating that tomorrow night.
