  1. Very pleasant start weather to this Monday, and forecast to stay good for all day. No doubting Somerset will be looking for a full point away win but I hope the Berwick riders will answer their critics on track as a home win will at least put a few smiles back on a few faces.
  2. Quite a performance from the Diamonds and its good to see Matej Kus back among the big points, hopefully you will have softened Somerset up for the next away meeting.
  3. Whilst I agree with much of what you say taking away or reducing the banking would give us a gate and go track even more than we have now. I would love to see the track widened but that`s not going to happen, however we have seen great meetings on the present shape which leads to the thorny subject of track prep.
  4. Not what Plymouth Speedway needed, hopefully they get their fence repaired and those responsible are dealt with and then reported to the Police.
  5. I agree that it would be great to see Sayfutdinov back in SGP but I think it would be unfair he should get back as a wild card pick, it was his choice he left SGP and I think if he is to get back in it should be through the qualification meetings.
  6. Giving how crap this England game is I`d get along to Brough Park and be thankful for it.
  7. Not half as expensive as having to make up any financial loss from a postponed meeting, more so a double header especially when you are desperate to make the play offs. If it rained yesterday but has been dry today its almost certain they would've saved this meeting.
  8. I know when Edberg snr was involved with Hammarby he was a big sponsor of Tomasz Gollob, if he was to take over maybe he could persuade Mr G to become a Bandit.
  9. As things stand right now yes. Berwick`s rider asset wont be all that valuable. Could be wrong but I think Fredrik appealed his sentence, won, and got mega bucks by way of compensation.
  10. Prague`s public service is one of the big pluses of the city, how you managed to cock it up is beyond me, I`m quite happy to admit to not being the sharpest when it comes to this kind of thing but if I can manage it I think everyone else will.
  11. In this instance where it rained the day before the meeting, maybe the Peterborough promotion would've been better investing in covers rather than new riders. Every chance you would've seen a meeting this afternoon.
  12. Don't let anything from stopping you from making petty points will you.
  13. Don`t think this will come as a surprise to anyone, especially after recent events where our consortium resigned. There are rumours of interested parties, lets hope they come true and Berwick Speedway will come to the tapes next season on what would their 50th in the sport. I would like to pass on my thanks to John and Ryan Anderson, George Hepburn for keeping the speedway going, but its been obvious that they weren't enjoying it anymore and if your not enjoying it you`d might as well get out, I am sure they will enjoy their Saturday nights more as supporters of Berwick Speedway.
  14. Lambert is a definite talent and has time on his side, he has started racing in Sweden which I hope continues next season, and I hope he gets fixed up in Poland and rides against better riders week in week out. That of course will mean him dropping our PL but I think he has the talent to reach GP level, racing in better leagues will help that.
  15. If you listen to recent rumours there`s plenty to go on, but hopefully all the headlines will be made on Monday and our meeting with Somerset.
  16. Bjerre could be taking not getting to next years SGP series very badly, no sooner he he lost his run off against Lindgren and the Peterborough meeting was called off.
  17. Staechman certainly took part in the first series of SGP in 95, and I guess could have been riding for Long Eaton so you could well be right.
  18. Not so sure why we need two Brits, apart from Woffinden there isn't another credible alternative, maybe Lambert one day will be good enough but as today shows he is a long way from mixing it against these sorts of riders. Stonehewer and ......
  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2640354?day=1 For a team that seems desperate to make the play offs, you`d think they would wait till the morning.
  20. Unfortunately Robert Lambert failed to make next years SGP series after he finished the 16th place in today`s GP Qualifier in Vetlanda.
  21. With three Poles already in the top eight, and possibly there to stay, and another Pole in next year with Dudek, will BSI award Hampel a one of the wild card picks for next season, probably not IMO.
  22. Must have been a slow week for speedway news if this is making the Speedway Star.
  23. Lindgren wins the run off so surely we will see Bjerre do a full season for Peterborough in 2017.
