  1. Rye House tie far from over, Berwick should do enough to get through but with so many defeats lately confidence must be low.
  2. Coventry team from last night resembled a fair decent PL team, certainly no where near elite standard.
  3. One Berwick rider who was racing last night was Leon Flint, he was racing in Round 7 of the 250cc Youth Championships at Eastbourne, where he won to extend his lead at the top of the current standings. One Berwick rider who is going places.
  4. With Somerset`s meeting at Edinburgh last night being called off I`m sure they would be keen to re-arrange our meeting and the Edinburgh one on consecutive nights, or as Edinburgh`s alternative race day is a Saturday how about two meetings in one day, Saturday afternoon Armadale, Saturday night Berwick. Clubs, who are looking for a play off place might need consider things like that to make the cut off date, or maybe the cut off date could be pushed back.
  5. Damned if you hang on and see what the weather brings, or damned if you call it off early and go with the forecast, with the rain yesterday afternoon and evening and a poor forecast for this afternoon I think this will prove to be the right decision.
  6. Unless the track is covered now I doubt they will save this meeting, been raining now for a while and forecast to rain most of the night. Tomorrows forecast doesn't look crash hot either. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819?day=1
  7. Bad news for the club to see the new consortium resign, hopefully they wont walk away entirely as that could be just about it for Berwick Speedway. They must have their reasons, lots of rumours, but without them or people like them there`s no way the current owners could continue running speedway in Berwick. I posted the other day that Berwick Speedway needed a shake up and a new direction, hopefully that will happen sooner than later. I take it the news wasn't mentioned in the latest news letter. Surely the less they post the better.
  8. Richard Suchet ‏@SkySuchet 6m6 minutes ago Breaking: Doctors in Rio have brought TV presenter Charlie Webster out of her induced coma for tests and are keeping her conscious.
  9. Don`t see the points from R/R being near to what Fisher would've got so Edinburgh might be on the wrong end of a hammering.
  10. Best wishes to Charlie for a full and speedy recovery.
  11. Tai Woffinden ‏@TWoffinden 17m17 minutes ago I would love to buy all the rights to teamGB speedway and build it up the same way i have built my company! #Successful
  12. Point 2 is about the only thing I agree with, the Redcar Newcastle PL fixture is an original fixture so takes president over this re-arranged one, so it might be worth asking those at Kings Lynn why agree to a Thursday night fixture knowing full well they would be without two of their riders. And no this wouldn't happen on Poland or Sweden, as they run squad systems in the most part.
  13. You are correct, both Lambert and rose will be at Redcar this Thursday, certainly strengthens Newcastle for an away win.
  14. Woffinden seems to be saying if your not doing things my way I`m off, now I don`t know what the exact issues are he has that is stopping him riding for Team GB next year, maybe some kind of statement from Woffinden and/or Team GB would help, I note there is nothing mentioned on the BSPA site.
  15. Kings Lynn at home to Swindon this Thursday night in the EL so its unlikely Robert Lambert will be there.
  16. In his own mind he probably thinks he still is.
  17. http://www.taiwoffinden.com/land/index.html It seems from Tai himself that he has issues with the BSPA and has no intention of riding for another Country, whether you believe him of course is another matter.
  18. Dont see how Woffinden can decide this early he is taken a year out, with nearly a year to go until the next SWC there`s lots that can change between now and then. Right now I think Woffinden is being childish and arrogant.
  19. Not so sure I would want the Berwick team to be a rabble or a bunch of piss artists, I do think its important that the riders of all clubs interact with their fans, something that did happen back in Peter`s days though to be fair most of the Berwick team lived in Berwick so were able to meet the fans on a daily bases, Makovsky, Rymel, Aarnio, Kristiansen etc were all living here for the majority of the season during their time with Berwick.
