Scunthorpe V Berwick (pl) 3/6/2016
screm replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Doolan did very well on Monday at Scunthorpe as a guest, our guest No1 very much in form, a former Scunthorpe rider in our team, and a track that should suit our new signing Hummell very well. I see no reason for an away win. -
You are right supporters clubs should be a vital part of any club, sometimes that doesn't seem to be the case a certain clubs.

Kieran has been fitted with his brace and been back on his feet, he has ten fractures of his vertebrae in three different so not surprisingly its going to take time before he is anything like fit. Full update on Berwick`s Facebook page.

Don`t see how dropping Barker and bringing in Bach strengthens the Tigers.
-
Ben did say during his centre green interview last season that he saw Berwick as unfinished business, maybe he might get his chance.

As there`s been no denial, no counter statement to set the record straight, I think we can take the quotes from Campbell as accurate and true.

Come the end of the GP series Harris will need snookers never mind a wild card. -
Noticed this on the Newcastle Speedway Twitter page, hope nobody minds me putting a link on here. https://www.gofundme.com/273vdqxw

Don`t think there should be a problem with a visa for Proctor, as he went for a Tier 2 visa which meant he couldn't start racing over here till now, whether you`d want him in your team is another matter of course.

Fair enough then we can expect a press release later from Campbell and/or Edinburgh Speedway putting the record straight, and taken action against the journalist.
-
So the direct quotes attributed to Campbell are entirely made up then.
-
Professional management the Edinburgh way.

There is an update on Berwick`s Facebook page on Kieran, in it it says after having MRI scans Kieran and his family had a choice of have surgery or being fitted with a brace that would have to be worn for eight weeks. as there was a small chance of long term problems with surgery they have decided to have the brace fitted, all being well Kieran will be home by the weekend.

Mr Batchelor isn't my favourite rider and I thought his attitude was an embarrassment to Kings Lynn last night, obviously he had problems with his own bike but to refuse the use of a team mates bike is unacceptable. Dont buy this lack of match fitness as he rides for just about the one track in this Country where you can practice just about any time you want.

Heat 15, Who Can Replace A Rider Who Breaks The Tapes?
screm replied to erniew's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Here`s another for the refs out there, to my knowledge there`s been two riders excluded from races for crossing the centre green, Henning Bager at Newcastle recently being one, but in todays meeting at Rye House Redcar`s David Bellego was put back 15m. Is this another case of one rule with two interpretations.
