  1. So that`ll be Berwick visiting Owlerton Thursday July 28th, it in the diary.
  2. Yes I heard that to, Saturday April 1st is the date.
  3. Not always being guaranteed regular meetings seems to be the reason for turning down Poland, their loss is the Diamonds gain. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100475
  4. And unless they have changed the rules Team GB are in the Final.
  5. Lakesidelive ‏@Lakesidelive 4m4 minutes ago Congratulations @theaces on being awarded the 2016 Speedway World Cup Race Off & Final! So the Race-off changes from a Thursday to a Friday, might give the team winning the race off meeting a bit of an advantage for the Final just 24hrs later.
  6. Bjerre back at Tarnow. http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/4584/bjerre-sticks-with-swallows
  7. I think we can all pull figures out of thin air to suit our arguments, I have no knowledge of what Lambert is on at Newcastle, nor I suspect does anyone else on here outside Lambert and the promotion.
  8. Robert Lambert signs for Newcastle. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/home.asp
  9. Quite a signing. Newcastle Speedway ‏@diamondspeedway 37s37 seconds ago BREAKING: ROB LAMBERT SIGNS FOR NEWCASTLE. full story at http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100474 … #diamonds #speedway
  10. BBC WM Sport 95.6 ‏@sportbbcwm 13m13 minutes ago BREAKING: @HeathensSpeed confirm return to Monmore Green for 2016, they'll race on alternate Mondays with @WolvesSpeedway
  11. Never been back to Workington since the Pairs a few years ago, I left Berwick at lunchtime Saturday, arrived home in someone else's car at dawn on Sunday morning, only have to return to Workington for around 9am Sunday to pick up the stragglers from the previous Saturday night, the details of the story you will have to fill in ourselves, though it did involve a film crew, The Waverley Hotel hotel and a night club.
  12. I am sure the BSPA will have thought this through and will have conditions built in to the new rules, at a guess I presume if a 3pt drafted rider is injured he will be replaced by a guest 3pt rider from the NL.
  13. I`m sure what you say is true, but you get these idiots at every track, including Berwick. These type of people are best left ignored.
  14. Hall rode at Berwick as reserve, and didn't exactly pull up any trees, it may be that he is a rider on the decline.
  15. I agree, IMO the three point reserve is a positive, I would've like to have seen both reserves being British, either by draft or average but I presume numbers and quality stopped that.
  16. http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/speedway/monarchs-rue-rule-change-as-rob-branford-departs-1-3945092 You mean this one, though it does prove one thing, you cant always believe what you read.
  17. Whilst the Border Roofing Monarchs were clinching back to back league championships, The British Speedway Promoters Assocation AGM was taking place at Rugby. Alex Harkess represented the Club on both days at the weekend although it was a rush back to Armadale to manage the team on Saturday night. Taken from here http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=2249
  18. But at Halls starting average, and with his position at reserve, he wont have to get to a 7/8pt average to be a good signing.
  19. Seems young Sissis was very much in Sheffield`s team plans for next season, but his shoulder injury he picked up at Berwick has proved more complicated than first thought. That has opened the door for Hall.
  20. Yes I agree, it a chicken or egg situation.
  21. Mr Harkess represented Edinburgh at both days of the Conference, though he did have to rush back to Armadale to manage the Monarchs team in their Play Off Final against Glasgow.
  22. In some ways I get what acclennell says, fans do need an attractive team to go and watch, and yes at some tracks promotions do seem to have become lazy at attracting fans who no longer fancy a night at the speedway, but I don't put Newcastle in that. History tells us that their promotion know how to put a top team together, maybe 2016 will be one of those years.
  23. I`m picking rain, I am sure Dandelion will come up with a better one.
