Whethers finished the 2010 season on a 7-04 average, though has been below seven since then.
-
I think Ipswich will have something to say if Workington was to sign Covatti.
-
I can understand about Campton not being allowed a visa, but less understanding about Whethers, has he failed to meet the new standards for attaining visas or has he been riding illegally for a few seasons now.
-
Some seem to be keen to poke the guilty stick at other riders, maybe to try and prove that poor old Darcy isn't such a bad person after all, its not working IMO.

Giving that the UKVI have said that they will work with the clubs, and after their workshop last Friday, do you really think the UKVI would let clubs apply for sponsor licenses only to turn them down, after all UKVI are now guiding the clubs through the paperwork. IMO getting the sponsors license will be the easy part for the clubs, getting riders to apply for visas and then getting those visas granted will be the hard part.
-
UKVI have already said they would work with any club trying to get riders through so they are ready to start the season, I am sure some riders will be easier than others.

In Woffinden there`s a lesson to be learned for Ward, if he wants to learn it of course.
-
Your not putting Ward down as a second rate Aussie surely, anyway I think the way the rules are going to be will make sure we don't see any Aussie rider that shouldn't at least have the capabilities of making the grade.
-
All the clubs who attended last Fridays meeting with UKVI have been cleared to re-apply for their sponsors license. Next step will be the riders to re-apply for their visa`s.

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.

That`ll be Holder who is now back racing at Poole. -
I am no Bridger fan but I am delighted to see a youngish GB rider wanting to come back to speedway, I hope it works out for him.
-
UKVI have now allowed clubs to re-apply for their sponsors licenses, riders are now clear to re-apply for visa`s. No squirming necessary.
-
Indeed he did, lets hope Voldrih will do the same.
-
Never get this rider will need time to learn track, or rider will need time to find set up especially when those riders have been racing in the PL for some time, in the vase of Voldrih you can make some kind of argument at least as the guy hasn't seen the place, but Jorgensen etc have raced over here long enough to know how to go about tackling the tracks over here.
-
I hope it lasts.
-
And has been punished for doing so, something that Ward has yet to be.
-
You give me far to much credit, I think of myself as neither, I am no better nor no worse than anyone else on here. Have a word and come back a little more light hearted, life far to short for such sarcasm.

According to Bridger without any sponsors he his having to spend half his seasons money on getting kit ready for the start of the season.
-
The new owners at Glasgow are certainly putting huge efforts into their speedway team, I hope they will be rewarded by huge crowds when the season gets going.
-
Never claimed to have the answer to it all, but I do have an opinion, which I will post on here with monotonous regularity. Just think, use both you usernames and you`ll get it all in duplicate.
-
Its called having an opinion, you should give it a bash sometime. If Jorgensen can maintain his starting average he will be doing just fine, IMO I see Barker & Vissing doing the main scoring with Doolan & Jorgensen providing the back up. Voldrih could be anything, hopefully good rather than bad, Edberg`s the one for me who has to show significant improvement, he has the experience , he certainly has the kit, he now has to deliver.

Glasgow have signed Richard Lawson on a full transfer. Glasgow Tigers have landed another major boost ahead of the new speedway season, by signing Richard Lawson on a permanent transfer. The Ashfield club have bought their new No 1 from Workington Comets ahead of his first campaign in the red and white. Lawson’s signing was announced at the end of last year, but he was only on loan at that stage. The deal to make him a full Tigers asset means that his matches for them take precedence over any fixtures he has in the Elite League, where he rides for Lakeside Hammers. It comes just days after Glasgow secured the permanent transfer of Australian rider Aaron Summers from Redcar Bears. The investment in both riders is the latest from new owners Gerry and Michael Facenna, of Allied Vehicles, who are also spending big to make the Tigers’ facilities at Ashfield Stadium among the best in British speedway. Lawson says he had no hesitation in agreeing to join Glasgow permanently given the excitement that is surrounding the club. The 28-year-old Cumbrian said: “I was very open to the suggestion of being transferred to Glasgow and being a full part of what is being planned there. I’ve not ridden for Workington in a number of seasons now, and it will be nice to race again for my parent club. “As the season gets ever closer, I’m feeling more and more excited about the challenges ahead and helping to repay the faith Glasgow have placed in me.” Alan Dick, Glasgow co-promoter, said: “We are thrilled to confirm that Richard is now a fully-fledged Tiger. He’s a popular rider with Glasgow fans despite never having ridden for us and he will certainly provide us with that ability to win heats home and away which every club requires from its No 1 rider. “In speaking with Workington it became evident that Richard was for sale, and we quickly decided that there were only benefits from striking a deal to purchase him on a full-time basis. “We know that Richard will also race for Elite side Lakeside, however, now as his parent club, our league and cup fixtures will take precedence should there arise any fixture clashes. “With everything which is going on around the club being so very positive this latest signing is yet another boost to our supporters and just the latest reason to feel very excited about the future.” Meanwhile, with the new season set to start next month, the club are continuing to work with the UK Visas and Immigration department to secure the necessary paperwork required to allow winter signing Kozza Smith to link-up with the Tigers. The Australian, 26, is one of several overseas riders who is having to obtain the correct permissions to ride in British speedway in 2015 – following some administrative issues for clubs across the country. Its always been a speedway forum, but being a Berwick thread it just takes an odd turn every so often.
