  1. So does new signing Jake Allan come in on a 5pt or a 7pt average.
  2. I`d take Kus over Doolan every time, no disrespect to Doolan but his best days are gone and gone for good, Kus on the other hand should have his best days ahead of him, hopefully at Berwick. Must be a better bet to have riders in your team where there is at least the potential there to improve.
  3. Workington have 7-16 to spend on their final rider, Allen`s average is 8-93, there Workington will be forced into dropping one of their new signings for 2015. Either that or this poster will look very very foolish, probably for ever more on this forum.
  4. That's a statement that could very well come back to bite you.
  5. British Speedway ‏@SpeedwayGB 10m10 minutes ago EDINBURGH- Kevin Wolbert will return to the Monarchs'
  6. I`m never anything else but happy, though I never had you down as a psychologist or worried about my state of well being, but cheers anyway.
  7. Signing Barker is a real coup for Berwick as it gives us an out and out No1, if you go down that route in terms of team building you need two top reserves, something that Berwick wont have it appears for 2015.
  8. It would be a real shame if we didn't build on last season and not just see it as a one off, the promotion whether by luck or judgement put together a decent team and were congratulated for it.
  9. I disagree, I thought that Barrett and Edberg would've been a good pair of reserves and able to do their job, also signing them would've given more scope for further up the team, maybe allowing at least one and hopefully two new assets. I still think we will see Edberg in the team, Berwick`s loss could be Workington`s gain.
  10. Fantastic news that speedway continues at the EoES, it would've been a drying shame had we lost it. Hopefully the good people of Peterborough will support something they came very close to losing.
  11. To upset still about the loss for 2015 of Bellego to admit he is gone.
  12. PETERBOROUGH have hit their survival target to continue racing! North-East businessman Ged Rathbone, who teamed-up with long-serving co-promoter Trevor Swales to mount the rescue package, confirmed the required £40,000 to keep Panthers on track has been raised. Rathbone and Swales have already notified the British Speedway Promoters’ Association (BSPA) of their desire to compete at Premier League level in 2015. They are now awaiting formal approval from the sport’s governing body which is expected to arrive within the next week. Rathbone said: “I’m over the moon and I cannot issue a big enough thank-you to everyone who has contributed to us being in this position. “We could not have made it without the time, effort and donations of so many people.” Further information on the club’s immediate future will be released as soon as it is available. From Peterborough's official site.
  13. Double Redcar Bears Rider of the Year Hugh Skidmore will be back at South Tees Motorsports Park next season. The popular Australian has become the second rider to agree terms with the Ecco Finishing Bears for the 2015 Premier League season. He joins South Tees Silver Helmet winner Jan Graversen, also a member of the 2014 septet in being a confirmed member of next season’s team. Skidmore, 24, from Crofts Harbour, joined the club on loan from Sheffield Tigers for the 2013 campaign and has been voted Bear of the Year in each of his two seasons on Teesside. After being presented with his 2014 award he was non-committal on his future plans, admitting: “I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do next year. I’ve got to sit down and see what offers come in and see what’s best for me, and go from there.” However, promoter Brian Havelock was confident of landing him for a third term and has confirmed he has got his man. “It’s good news,” said Havelock. “He’s done well for us over the past two years and there’s more to come from him.” Havelock will now press ahead with getting his remaining five places filled, although with at least one club reported to be paying big money to land their targets, he says the task is not as straightforward this winter. “I think some riders have caught wind of the money that’s being offered,” he said, “and their ears will prick up at that. “It’s the silly season at the moment but hopefully things will start coming together now.” One rider who definitely won’t be back next year is Carl Wilkinson. The former British Finalist, who was brought in to replace Gary Havelock following the 1992 world champion’s career-ending crash in 2012, has returned to parent club Scunthorpe. Taken from Redcar Gazette Live. British Speedway ‏@SpeedwayGB 8m8 minutes ago EDINBURGH- Justin Sedgmen will be back with the Monarchs in the Premier League for the 2015 season.
  14. Barrett has signed for Workington, Alden wont be back at Berwick next season, and unless Franc gives up his Longtrack racing then he wont be back either, far to many missed Saturday nights, and to be fair to Franc he doing quite well in Longtrack GP`s so probably wouldn't give them up anyway. We haven't sunk that low........yet.
  15. Giving the economic situation the club finds itself quite a few thought we would see Berwick sign more of their own assets and cut down on down on quite so many going loan fees going out, with Barrett going to Workington that's at least one loan fee coming into the club.
  16. Don't you get it, no team sponsor yet. Finding a new team sponsor will be the most important signing.
  17. Fair play to the kid, he is obviously ambitious and sees his future away from Edinburgh, looks like the Monarchs could have a valuable asset on their hands.
  18. No such person would ever exist on a Berwick thread.
  19. Hadn't seen that Scunthorpe had announced that Jorgensen wasn't going back.
  20. Or do you.....I take it you will be handing over a cool crisp £20 each week your there. Disappointed that Bellego wont be back with us next year, I wish him the best of luck for 2015 though I cant quite see how a move to Owlerton will further his career. IMO a move to a smaller track would've seen him learn what he struggles with, and made him a better rider for it. That said I am sure he will be a big scorer at Sheffield. Scunthorpe are going to be naming their side on Thursday, we will have more of an idea about Jorgensen's likely destination for 2015 then, though I agree with you, a new asset to the club would've been a better option.
  21. Everyone can strike Seb Alden off their team sheets for next year, he wont be returning to Berwick at least in 2015.
  22. If as rumoured the last two signings are Summers and Lawson, it would give Glasgow a very decent looking team.
