  1. I`m sure Berwick`s guest will be announced soon, maybe in the next News Letter, which will also bring some good news on this weekends fixture with the Panthers.
  2. But you`ve had an official announcement. Its you that has been the claim that a riders refused to be treated, unless your going to cough up the evidence your post has no more credibility than Lawson`s tweet did the other day. Berwick Speedway have made their statement, now you may not like it, you may not agree with, but I`m afraid your going to have to live with as Berwick Speedway will make no further comment, something we maybe all should do.
  3. That efforts no more or less pathetic as the one we had from Mr R Lawson the other day, hopefully your post will go the way as Lawson`s tweet.
  4. I think there`s every chance of seeing Kus on Saturday, a full and firing Berwick team are well capable of a 10pt win on Saturday, after that its in the lap of the Gods what kind of track will be served up, "though the keys are there if you can do better".
  5. With Berwick going with R/R it vital we get the best reserve guest possible, especially as he will be able to take at least one of the R/R rides. I still think Berwick will have enough to see off Sheffield, on aggregate at least, though having a weakened team doesn't help.
  6. Certainly Vissing rides only PL in the UK, though he has had one or two guest booking both in PL and EL. He also rides in Poland and Denmark.
  7. This could be the answer going forward, get a rider to take turns in being ill, we then have a County ambulance at the track and the meeting can continue, jobs a goodun.
  8. Track prep wins every time, to much dirt, not enough dirt, to much water, not enough water. Tractors out to many times, tractors should've been out more. Endless.
  9. Berwick Speedway have made their statement, I doubt very much they will be adding to it.
  10. There is no argument about the track, last Saturday it was poor.
  11. Excellent viewing last, Tai came over very well, I would defy anyone who watches it not to shed a tear when they talked about his dad, especially when reading the letter Rob left for him. Never met Tai, and probably never will, but I hope he stays at the top of our sport for years yet.
  12. Which is why the Berwick Promotion are held in such high regard. Sad to see Matej Kus will miss our trips to Sheffield and Somerset, could be a crucial factor at Sheffield in particular in the KOC.
  13. According to the BSPA site Lamberts average is now 5-79, so you`d think he can double up with a PL team.
  14. Forget about averages, the only way to qualify for 4`s day at Peterborough should be out there on track, until that happens the 4`s will always be a fantastic day out but ever so slightly diminished returns for whoever wins.
  15. No..you don't mean...well I cant believe it. Never mind an investigation into last saturday, I think we have found a far more serious issue that needs looking at.
  16. An excellent, well worded statement, and its to John Anderson`s credit he has issued an explanation of Saturday night. It seems the paramedic who covered Saturdays meeting is/was suffering personnel issues, what ever those are have nothing to do with anyone apart from the paramedic himself, so I don't think it would do anyone any good to speculate. I think its fair to say the events of last are unlikely to ever happen again, in terms of rider takes ill closely followed by a paramedic, but the issue for me is the delays and time taking up from treating an injured rider. The statement suggests that Berwick Speedway would love an extra paramedic or doctor present, that of course would keep the meeting going. As I understand things it is more logistics than financial that would get us a much needed extra medical cover. Though for me if the Promotion are looking to off set an extra paramedic by way of financial incentive I`m sure we would be willing to contribute, for example put 50p on to the programme, maybe a doctor or paramedic would come for a free night at the speedway and a few pound notes in their pocket, might never be needed but if they were then they are there ready to take over till the first paramedic is able to resume his position. Its a thorny issue, but hoe many customers could Berwick Speedway potentially lose of the delays continue. Hopefully we can get that extra medical cover, as the statement says everything else is in place medical wise. There was no speedway, or anything else as far as I know, at Shielfield since the GP Qualifier meeting two weeks ago, so I was expecting the track to be in tip top condition, sadly that was not the case. The tracks has generally been very good this season, with the track staff rightly receiving praise for their efforts, and the racing has been decent to. Saturday was a lurch back to the bad old days of last season where some riders struggled to adapt to the track conditions. Whatever they were doing earlier this season to get the track so good they need to get back to doing this week in preparation for Saturday night.
  17. Whatever the reasons that stopped Lambert from signing for Newcastle are still there surely, if they weren't I`m sure Newcastle would have him in their 1-7 as quick as you could say management committee.
  18. He became Champion of the World without going anywhere near his home track, that has to stand for something. In terms of ear rings, tattoos etc, its the modern way, maybe old farts like me aren't exactly enamoured with them but what he does is his business.
  19. What!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Never possible, are you trying to break my heart. But that would never happen on this forum, no attention seekers here.
  20. Looking forward to seeing the other side of just riding a bike round a track, travelling, organisation etc, its the kind of programme I`ve been wanting to see for a while. IMO Woffinden has matured over the last few years and made himself into a top sportsman, very media savy, talks well and most importantly does it on the track. We are very fortunate to have him as our World Champ.
  21. This Berwick Promotion are very much fan friendly, I am sure they will address the issues from Saturday and act upon them this week.
  22. All true I`m sure, though the fact that Berwick were venerable and Redcar were in with a chance of an away would've giving Havvy snr that bit of extra incentive.
  23. Matty & Matej Update : Matty WETHERS is home with no broken bones but he is very sore . Bike , helmet & neck brace all totally wrecked . Matej KUS has rested all day & is feeling much better , he travels home to Czech tomorrow where he will see his GP . Update taken from Berwick Speedway Facebook, delighted to see better news on both riders.
  24. And your opinion of Summers as Newcastle guest after tonight is...............
