  1. It was mentioned on the night, though I`m not sure how true it was, and anyway the rain put pay to that.
  2. First off I hope Kus and the paramedic recovery from their illness asap, and that Wethers is back from what is reported to be a hip injury soon. When a rider is injured I`m sure we all want the very best of treatment for him, and a rider then a paramedic falling ill during a meeting is of course out of the control of Berwick Speedway. However last nights events have to be addressed, as has already been pointed out Berwick have a duty to provide adequate medical cover, from now on that has to include an extra doctor and first aid cover, and if the promotion have to cough up for that then so be it. If they don't they run the risk of losing fans, many fans had left long before the 9-30 curfew last night. Also it might be an idea not to let our centre green presenter give out statements that are clearly not true. It was announced that the replacement doctor was coming from Kelso, where apparently he left his evening meal and was 15mins away, I challenge anyone to drive from Kelso to Berwick in 15mins, and no amount of alcohol will shorten that particular journey. Now I don't know if the doctor was drunk as Richard Lawson alleges, though if true it makes last night even more farcical, I`m sure the BSPA will be eager to find out. Finally, as one poster on various Berwick threads is keen point out, Berwick Speedway are quick to point out any praise that comes their way, one hopes they are equally as quick to address the shortage of medical cover on a Saturday night. Last night was not the first time we have sat with no speedway as we waited for a paramedic to return from the pits, it cant all be down to cost. After virtually two weeks of no racing, you`d have thought the track would've been in mint condition. Though as you say there will be an excuse.
  3. Giving that the junior Berwick team are going for a trophy tonight, I hope that every effort will be made during the PL match to give the junior riders time to complete their Final.
  4. Had enough of low lying sun at Kings Lynn the other night, I`d get down there with your Oakleys, you would make a killing.
  5. Nice start this race day, dry and bright start, and forecast to stay that way all day. Hopefully Redcar can give Berwick a meeting, though with Kus able to take seven rides I think that will tip the match in Berwick`s favour.
  6. Absolutely no worries weather wise for tomorrows meeting, Saturday will be dry and bright throughout, plenty of sunshine will make it very pleasantly warm.
  7. That's the issue for me, I wonder when Pedersen loaded up before heading off to Poland he had any remorse at all, he doesn't have to admit it but one wonders if there was any there to admit. Riders cause accidents in the GP`s all the time, surely its part of the racing, the vast majority of which are just racing accidents, though the idea of some red or yellow card system I find quite laughable.
  8. EuroSports coverage of SGP must`ve left Sky kicking themselves, but as others have said as long as SGP is broadcast live somewhere then I`m happy. Thankfully Green has disappeared from our screens, something that I am quite happy about.
  9. Peterborough`s speedway fans need to realise what they have in the EoES, fantastic facilities and decent racing, maybe a Tuesday race night isn't the most popular but it would be a shame if there was to be another winter of uncertainty for Peterborough Speedway.
  10. I was at Kings Lynn last night, where Lewis Kerr was interviewed about his injury situation. He said things are not as bad as first thought, he would not require an operation and was hoping to be back on a bike in around three weeks.
  11. Obviously I`m not there every week, but there looked a fairly decent crowd there last Tuesday. Main stand was quite well populated, though not many along back straight.
  12. Leigh Lanham ‏@leigh_lanham 17m Stuck on a1 for 2hrs so far gonna be very tight for time.. #trafficsucks
  13. Home win all day long for me, especially with Kus at reserve, he should be a busy man on Saturday evening.
  14. Thanks for pointing out my inadequacies, I hope the corrections are to your liking.
  15. Not so sure about that, the centre green announcer, who was presenting from the pits through out, announced Howarth`s withdrawal soon after he returned from his first ride.
  16. Josh Graczjonek was interviewed at Peterborough tonight where he said he hope to return for this meeting, giving that Howarth was forced to withdraw you`d think h must be doubtful for Saturdays meeting.
  17. Decent meeting at EoES, Peterborough will probably look at this as a missed opportunity, especially with Howarth only lasting a couple of laps into his return, though you must question the decision to let him ride in the first place. Workington's efforts are all the more remarkable when you think that the Comets had only one rider in Hts 7 & 10. Lawson was real class at his former home, and was well back up by Wells who was the rider out on his own twice when Workington had only one rider. Taylor Poole was the enigma he is, looked ok in his first ride, before putting in two zero`s, then winning his fourth ride in fine style. I was interested to see how Nicki Barrett got on, his debut was steady if unspectacular, winning his first ride in fine style before tailing off. P.S Can someone return the second half of the National Anthem, I had only got to my feet and taking off my cap when it was all over, but as with last year it was another happy trip to Peterborough Speedway.
  18. Weather is set fair at EoES, travelled over from Wolverhampton this morning, had a bit of lunch in Peterborough, now in hotel and looking forward to tonights meeting.
  19. Oh for goodness sake, a tad over reaction. Pedersen hardly stuffed Sayfotdinov big time as you claim, yes he caused Sayfutdinov to fall but the referee could've quite easily called three riders back for a re-run.
