  1. Berwick are riding well as a team and with a bit of confidence, Sheffield to win on the night but Berwick to go through.
  2. Checkout speedwayresults.com, there`s some previous results from meetings Gappmaier has taken part in, not to many from last year but one or two from the years previous.
  3. Not so as the Berwick newsletter indicates, Kolodziej was indeed due to race at Berwick, then him and Janowski swapped venues. Anyway we have our line-up and its a one to look forward to.
  4. I couldn't give two hoots what makes you smile, my invitation for you to put me on ignore still remains. When Berwick had this meeting before the field that night was good but not great IMO, this time round IMO this might just be the best ever field for a meeting since Berwick returned to Shielfield. If the weather behaves itself Berwick should be rewarded with a massive crowd.
  5. As long as Berwick are collecting full 3pt home wins then Carr should be allowed to get himself into some kind of form, however in tight meetings, Carr`s odd point here and there could be the difference between winning and not though zero scores on a regular bases are no good for rider and more importantly team.
  6. 7 June in Berwick and Ljubljana and 9 June in Abensbergu will be played qualification for the Grand Prix. These tournaments are six Polish representatives. After swapping seats between Janusz Wheelwright and Peter Pawlickim, next to castling. This time, "Koldi" will start in place of Maciej Janowskiego in Ljubljana, in turn "Magic" will go in Berwick. The Polish authorities changed their nominations, lets call it my Berrington Lough moment.
  7. Can the Poles not make anymore changes and stick with Janowski & Pawlicki, there`s reputations to hold up on here.
  8. My sources from Poland are telling me that the two Polish representatives at Berwick will be Przemyslaw Pawlicki & Janusz Kolodziej
  9. Cant do without the Tigers in the PL for travelling support and bar takings.
  10. People voting with their feet is no good, and could spell the end of Glasgow Speedway which I am sure nobody wants to see. Hopefully they find the winning way on a regular bases very soon.
  11. Aarnio, Henry, Hall and Rosen are available, but apart from Rosen there`s hardly anything there that would quicken the pulse. Would Glasgow really go down the route of trying to get a rider from the EL to double down as Newcastle have done with Danny King recently.
  12. Unibax, don't make laugh, surely we are better as Falubaz Berwick Bandits.
  13. Sorry couldn't resist. Seriously though it does look Glasgow could do with a team change, though you might say that about a few teams right now in the PL, and there in lies the problem, right now is there any better alternatives out there, and when you add in the fact Glasgow race on a Sunday it might make it all the more difficult to attract riders who have the chance of riding in Poland.
  14. By replacement I take it you mean short term till Berge is fit, though I can think of one club who would love to have the chance in signing Berge, maybe even taking him on as a club asset.
  15. Agree about Berge he would've been better than 4pts. Not seen any recent update, last think I saw was that he had been released from hospital and had gone back to France for some recuperation.
  16. Cant speak for any other meetings but on last night he was slow from the gate and not much quicker thereafter which given his previous Shielfield performances was probably the difference in Ipswich collecting some points than not, he must be better than his performance last night.
  17. Glasgow Tigers = 40 1. Kevin Wolbert - 3, 0, 2, 1, 1 = 7 2. R/R - (KL 0, KL 1, ML 2, AT 1) = 4 3. Mark Lemon - 0, 2, 2, 3, 1 = 8 4. Theo Pijper - 3, 0, 2', 3, 0 = 8+1 5. Rusty Harrison - 0, 2, 1, R = 3 6. Kasper Lykke Nielsen - 0, 2', 1, 0, 0, 1 = 4+1 7. Anders Thomsen - 3, 2, 1', 1', 3 = 10+2 8. Steve Jones Workington Comets = 50 1. Josh Grajczonek - 2, 3, 2', 2', 2' = 11+3 2. Mason Campton - 1', 1, 3, 3 = 8+1 3. Ricky Wells - 1', 1, 3, 2 = 7+1 4. Kyle Howarth - 2, 3, 0, 2 = 7 5. Rene Bach - 3, 2', 1, 3, 3 = 12+1 6. Chris Mills - 1, 3, 0, 0 = 4 7. Ashley Morris - Fx, 1, ef, ef = 1
  18. Delighted to see that after their crashes both Gino Manzares & Cameron Heeps have returned home, though battered they have no lasting injuries.
  19. Having seen the injury to Aaron Fox`s leg its a miracle he might only miss a week or two at the most, I promise you its not for the squeamish.
  20. Happily Manzares has tweeted that though he is banged about there is nothing broken so hopefully he wont be out for to long. Biggest disappointment in the Ipswich team was Tungate, he has had good meetings at Berwick in the past but he looked along way from that rider.
  21. Decent enough meeting, a half way Berwick looked to be making heavy weather of winning let alone winning by 9pts at the end of Ht15. Delighted to see Kus now starting to score the points we know he is capable of, one or two questioned his signing, IMO he is starting to answer those questions. Again Jensen produced the goods at reserve which was vital as his reserve partner struggled. Worrall. Risager and Ellis all kept Ipswich in with a shout of getting something, sadly though the others had poor nights though the Ipswich caused wasn't helped by losing Manzares and Heeps to injury, seems Heeps may have broken a wrist while Manzares was taken to hospital complaining of back pain, he also took a bang to his head, though there is no definite news on these riders. Highlight of the night for me was AC/DC Highway to tell, and the bonus was we got the whole song with no centre green warbling to interrupt.
  22. It's good news from Aaron Fox as he was released from hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning having had the nasty gash on his right thigh stitched. In Aaron's own words, "They've pulled the wound back together and stitched it up." He's been told by the hospital that he sound be fit to race again in fourteen days and in typical speedway rider style, Aaron is determined to be back in action at Armadale on Friday. Co-promoter John Campbell was pleased to have a visit from Aaron at his home on Saturday afternoon and was amazed that Aaron was able to walk from his car to the house, admittedly with some restricted movement. Aaron said, "Initially, after the crash, I didn't have any feeling in my leg and I feared the worst but as the feeling returned and I was able to move my leg I knew I hadn't broken anything. I'll heal fairly quickly but my kevlars were not so lucky. They were cut off and now they are only good for the bucket. I'm told that there was some fundraising going on in the stadium to help me replace them and I'm very grateful for that and any help that I can get. There's some damage to the bike as well that I'll have to fix. Some bits to straighten and some to replace." We'll update on Aaron's progress later in the week but his target at the moment is very much to be back in action on Friday.
  23. Its a landslide, I`ll take the accolade without putting it to a vote, to be fair since my wonky post the other night I probably deserve it. Must try harder.
  24. Do you really think its a case of wont, to be fair to Louis is there riders out there to make the difference, IMO there`s probably a number of PL teams who`d like to make a change but the riders of enough quality just are not there at the minute. Look at the riders who we know are available, it hardly quickens the pulse.
  25. Bit cloudy at the minute but its dry with no hint of rain, and happily forecast to stay that way.
