  1. With FOGO pulling out as one of the main sponsors and there's got to be a chance there will be others, and NICE threatening to pull out from sponsoring the Polish riders, the FIM could very well end up with a GP series that is virtually worthless if the top riders decide to go with the European Champs rather than the GPs. Decisions like this one from the FIM will only lead to conflict and court cases, which means the only ones likely to profit out of this will be the lawyers.
  2. Doyle has been released by Somerset who have signed Ty Proctor as his replacement.
  3. This story is in this weeks Speedway Star, it appears that Kozza applied for another visa when the one he already had had a year to go on it so Kozza will take his place in the Redcar team.
  4. If we were to get a NOTW type investigations into the goings on in speedway riders private lives, half of it would never be suitable to print.
  5. It speaks volumes IMO that virtually none of the riders who Berwick left out of their 2014 team have not found a team place elsewhere.Aspegren,Alden,Edberg and Barrett have no jobs over here, for the start of the season at least.
  6. This is excellent news and all those concerned should be congratulated for keeping speedway on our screens. Hopefully now the powers that be use this 5 year window as an opportunity to really put speedway on a firm footing that will see our sport grow for many years to come. So all those doom and gloom merchants who wouldn't be renewing their Sky packages without speedway can now renew their Sky subscriptions and while they are on the line to Sky they might congratulate them for continuing to cover speedway.
  7. Its true.....true I tell you. Why are you posting photos of the wife and her sister.
  8. Your right, though you`d think the signing clubs would check that everthing was in place before they made these signing announcements.
  9. Do you renegotiate your contract with Sky,I thought it was a case of you either re-new or you dont. The Sky deal does not affect EuroSports coverage of the GPs,they remain on that channel.
  10. Yes those poor Aussies,I find it amazing then Rye House would announce Nelson as a confirmed signing when they mustve known this situation was rumbling around. It is clear now that any team going to sign an Austrailian rider should make sure everythings in place before announcing their signature.
  11. You leave my illogical statements alone, some of them may just....just be true.
  12. Well Im happy with the choice Ive made, hotels booked, tickets are bought and Im really looking forward to it. On the track,I think they have a new track guy who hopefully will produce a better GP than in recent years.
  13. Maybe Doyle,Davies and others tried to pay for their visas using Scottish fivers.
  14. No of course not,but it does go o show what happens when you put talented riders on a track where they can show there skills, and has already been pointed out if this kind of track prep can be achieved for a few meetings then why cant it become the norm.IMO the track was good in the weeks leading up to last years U-21 Final, then we seemed to get back to differing track conditions on a weekly bases which of course is no good to the home riders. Ask seven riders what they think and your likely to end up with seven different opinions, much better to give them a consistant track to race on so they at least come to Shielfield eack saturday night with an idea of what to expect.
  15. That`ll be the brother of Ales & Lukas, the one they never talk about.
  16. I feel a wager coming on. Then you will sleep your way to a virtually empty stadium, there's no doubt this promotion has done a lot with the periphery, but the preparation of the track is important to a Saturday nights entertainment. Its not all about the burgers and pies, fine they may be.
  17. Or a possible Wembley trip for one of the minor clubs in the North east.
  18. Then they will have to tinker some more, for example the PL Fours has been provisionaly put down for August 3rd,Newcastle are due to race Edinburgh that day as well as Glasgow v Ipswich, the Witches having been at Workington the previous night.
  19. I think we will see some "tinkering" with the fixtures before any bikes get to the tapes for most clubs.
  20. For those supporters who like to go on a tour then Ipswich followed by a trip to Scunthorpe seems to be the best bet,for those who fancy going around the country then there a trip to Sheffield on a thursday, followed by a trip to Somerset on a friday, before returning to Berwick on the saturday,or theres a trip to Rye House on a sunday, nothing on a monday then a trip to Peterborough on a tuesday.Another trip sees Berwick go to Redcar thursday,Plymouth friday then a over night drive to be at Berwick on the night after.
  21. As yet Berwick haven't put their full fixture list up on their official site, but looking at other sites Berwick host Peterborough on Saturday June 28th, Panthers are at Redcar & Edinburgh the previous two nights. Berwick go to the EOES on Tuesday August 26th. Edit. Having looked at the BSPA site, the full list of fixtures are on there.
  22. Good to see Liam Carr signing for Buxton in the NL,the extra time on the bike can only be a good thing.
  23. Can the pair of you continue this blossoming romance via PMs please.
