screm replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fair play to Thomas for chasing rides and meetings all over the Country for not to many points. -
Berwick riders in opposition for the tv match tomorrow night as Jye Etheridge returns to the Belle Vue team while Kyle Bickley comes into the Sheffield team as a guest for the injured Stefan Nielson. Still no NB Jacobsen for Belle Vue so Scunthorpe`s Simon Lambert guests.

03/09/21 1930 Redcar v Kent (Champ)
screm replied to Old Crusader's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Van has now been found but three bikes plus tools are still missing. -
If Newcastle were to look for a new track and stadium and if that meant building from scratch, and it were to be a multi-use stadium for various other sports, would there not be a sporting grant to help pay for the costs.

Plymouth v Newcastle Tuesday 31st August
screm replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Giving the mess the sport is in I`m not so sure its the greatest idea to start signing riders when there is so much un-certainty around. What do Plymouth know that the rest don`t. -
The fact you are checking with legal advise would suggest there are things that are better left un-said.

Rob Grant has had a torrid time since taking over, and it shouldn't be forgotten the situation he found himself in soon after taking over, none of which was his fault. But the sad truth is if you prop up one failing business with another you invariably end up with two failing business, and I don`t think anyone would expect to put his own business at risk to keep Newcastle Speedway going. As for the future it does look very bleak right now, hopefully the BSPL will come up with the changes and league structure necessary that will make running speedway at Brough Park an attractive proposition.

CARDIFF to be or not to be?
screm replied to lbw's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Britain will get a SGP, EuroSport would be crazy to look at any other venue rather than Cardiff.
