Id question if that figure would be regularly reached even if the admittance was £10. I admire the optimism but that has never paid the bills. gazzac Posted June 9, 2023 Report Share Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) As a matter of interest what were the crowds in the boom years in the NL( 2014/18) when Birmingham had the likes of Adam Ellis etc and had stern competition from Eastbourne and BV etc over a 3 /4 year period, probably more than now I imagine. Like Eastbourne were pretty successful over that period, I always said that was the level of clubs like those 2 and many others, but I still think was deemed too successful and a threat to the higher leagues and diluted it. Your basically guessing from one week to another and this must be why it's so hard to be sustainable. Maybe riders demands outweigh income? But if you have no riders you have no income and no sport. Maybe it needs wage-capping and going back to amateur status to be sustainable and build from the ground up. Obviously some clubs don't seem to be suffering like Birmingham or Newcastle last season but you need more coming in than going out to survive.
