The key thing is planning permission. A site at i54 has been mentioned and that could be under the auspices of South Staffs council, or jointly with Wolverhampton council, so that particular site might have complications but we can't consider anything until the location is revealed. The site that they are looking at is within 15 minutes of Wolverhampton, and you can go a fair way in 15 minutes of driving. If you get planning permission, take a look at northside arena in Workington, to see what can be built, but you won't need as much space as Wolverhampton not used to big tracks Good luck for the future Edited November 5, 2023 by Neila

And who was one of the principal architects of Redcar? Chris van Straten.

THE DEAN MACHINE
Still nobody is trying to get wolves back, there are a few fans keeping the name alive with banners at different tracks but nobody is really doing anything, me and heathens next generation have had a conversation with the stadium manager at monmore a few months back who was very sympathetic to our plight saying it wasn’t the stadium that kicked wolves out it was entain itself and he forwarded an email to entain on our behalf, they did say no to a return but used the words not at this time ??? Does that mean maybe in the future ?? The point I’m making here is it needs someone who is a potential promotion to approach entain, it’s no good me doing it as I’m just fan, on another note, nobody has tried harder than heathens next generation to get cradley back, we have visited many locations with 2 being absolutely perfect locations had been identified, we have done everything including plans, deals and everything only to run into a brick wall that is the council, we will be trying another location next week but it not through lack of trying, I just wish the same could be said about wolves 1

That was the plan if entain would play ball, wolves on a Monday and cradley on a Wednesday, under separate promotions giving entain double the rent but that’s a no go at this moment in time, finding the sites are not really the problem, it’s the councils, they say one thing in public but do the opposite in reality

No good sulking and stamping your feet on here. The sport is absolutely on its arse in the UK. Look at the money Workington are losing and you would imagine Northampton will be losing next season etc. The sport never moved on from years gone by and is still stuck in the 70s/80s and the people who were fans then are either too old or have passed away. The sport had the world at its feet when Sky Sports first got involved but made an absolute ballsup of that and now look at it. I loved going to Newport every week from the relaunch until its closure but realise the crowds werent there, promotion losing money etc, sometimes its best to enjoy the good memories and move on. Wolves aren't wanted at Monmore and theres no big effort to get them anywhere else, that should tell you something.

I get your point and some clubs obviously struggled such as Stoke and Birmingham but Wolves always got a good crowd. You are right about the sport in general but totally wrong about wolves, unfortunately most wolves fans are still relying on CVS to do something but sadly he isn’t interested anymore, it’s needs someone else to front it, we had a couple of people in mind had we had a positive reply from entain but at this time we don’t but we will keep trying, I’m not sulking or stamping my feet, I just posted on here to keep it in the public, thanks for your negative reply
noaksey
Hard to see where a prospective promoter for Wolves might come from apart from people already involved in the sport elsewhere who might consider Wolves to be a decent proposition There was a rumour a while back that the Oxford promotion might be potentially interested but that was sometime ago now I've been a Wolves fan since the 70's and can't think of anyone from the fanbase who might step up, I can't even envisage a national league/Nora type consortium

Plus from memory when Cradley were in the national league running at Wolves they were getting in excess of 2k per meeting, I totally get Pinny's point but if there's one track that could relaunch and get decent crowds my bet is Cradley would be it.
