I hope Ukraine gets knocked out and this charity of having them in purely due to politics can stop. I don’t really care about the war when I’m watching speedway, I’d rather Russian be in it, whether that upsets people or not.

What charity? 3rd behind Denmark and Australia in their SoN semi, 5 points ahead of the Czechs. They're there by merit.

You just confirmed my point. Russia wouldn’t have finished 3rd behind Denmark. Charity because they are not as good as Russia, and politics chose to let them in due to the war instead of Russia.

This is incorrect, if Russia were in it so would be Ukraine, they are still above the Czechs in terms of qualifying.

If Russia were in it... they may not be in it anyway as they have previously been allowed in it but chose not to be in it due to lack of funding 🤷‍♂️

I'm still not seeing the charity - they qualified for this via the SoN, nobody has handpicked Ukraine to ride in this. They've also ridden in every SoN bar one, even before Russia invaded, so that doesn't stack up either.

Out of curiosity, who would you pick for the Russian team? Presumably Artem and Emil are a no-go, now they're Polish citizens? Guess we'd be back to 2021 with Vladimir Borodulin, Sergey Logachev and Mark Karion, when they finished below France and Latvia.

I'd like to see Dan Thompson get a chance he did pretty well in the SoN2 last year and anything is better then watching Ellis fail for another year.

If only no idea why he still gets a pick.

1st SWC Semi-final in Landshut is a week away on Friday 1st May start time 6pm UK time. I have searched TNT Sports and cannot find it listed and HBO Max don’t appear to have a proper daily schedule( that i can find). Can someone else have a look ?

Edit via TNT sports i have now found it listed on HBO Max only.

With GB riding in the meeting and TNT having 4 channels i find it amazing that it’s only on HBO Max

I don't as Speedway in the UK only attracts about 0.1% of its population

Why no Dan Thompson in the team or at 5 instead of cairns, who imo hasn't moved forward as much as the hype he had

It’s a face fits selection for Cairns. As there’s a couple of under 21 boys that are much better than he is.

My assumption (we know who that is the Mother of) was that Thompson has chosen to fulfill his Edinburgh commitments instead and other U21's have probably done the same with their Championship fixtures (assume Cooper is guesting for Worky?) leaving Cairns to go for the experience.

Who's got the last SEC spot (Lamothe-Landerron), do we know? Brennan & Flint got the other 2 surely DT should get the last quali spot
