The Cook signing had disaster written all over it from day one and those that hailed it as the best thing to ever happen have certainly got a dose of reality now.

You suggest the Cook signing has been a disaster but when he's actually ridden he's done a good job. It seems like he's been ill a lot but per BSPL stats he's only missed 2 meetings.

When he's missing you should have a good choice of guests, given his average and there's only ever one other meeting. Basically any rider except the majority of other clubs number ones. Glasgow or Edinburgh riders the obvious choice if at home on a Friday night.

Agree, while he has given the Promotion a bit of a headache off track ,his performance on track have been Ok.Like I said there will always be a good guest option if he keeps going AWOL.

But why would you sign someone that constantly gives you a headache? There is a reason teams like Workington moved on from him and they’ve been totally justified in that.

The fact you don’t know if he's turning up at all to any meeting should be reason enough to avoid him and as for having all these bouts of sickness well maybe the less said the better.

On track he’s been bang average imo, he’s nowhere near the rider he was years ago that would mean I could understand the excuses that were made for him.

There always is plenty of people willing to defend him and personally I don’t understand it but each to their own.

What does it say about the rest of the Team he was a still No1 in the averages.we all know what could happen with the signing but on track he’s done ok

Both Cook and Kildemand have flattered to deceive. Saw Berwick a few times on the road this year. Cook good if he gates, Kildemand? I thought he would be doing better but maybe the championship is stronger than ever before? I don't know.....

I’m actually surprised at how Kildemand has done, I thought he’d struggle far more than he has due to the fact he hasn’t had a team in Poland for a few years now and wasn’t exactly setting the world alight in Denmark, I thought he’d be averaging around 7 rather than closer to 8, he still isn’t afraid to mix it and is clearly trying but his machinery seems slow.

Cook you are bang on, interested if he gates otherwise just potters around the white line but I better not upset the Cook fan club anymore.

I am certainly not Craig Cook fan , but too say he is bang average when he is Top of the Berwick Averages Home and Away is total nonsense.Think most fans had doubts about the signing with his “problems health wise”.His non appearances are disappointing but to criticise his on track riding is someone who just does not like him full-stop.

I’ve just checked and he’s actually having his worst statistical season in the Premier League/Championship since 2010 when he rode for Workington.

Yes granted he was the best rider in the league for periods at Edinburgh and Glasgow but I don’t think his on track performance can be classed as unbridled success as some seem to make out.

You've got to take one with the other and that’s how I see it, I can put up with Kildemand averaged 7.80 or whatever it is as he is no nuisance and generally seems to put in a strong effort.

Cooks off track issues combined with his worst statistical season since 2010 but hey we’ve dealt with worse on track so I guess this is fine to you?

My qualm about Cookie when he was announced was his off track problems, they have proved to be correct, I don’t know how anyone can defend it or stick by him. He has let the club, the fans, and his teammates down, again.

He has certainly let the Club down and fans with his off track issues.I am not defending him just pointing out facts.

I think Craig has done ok as well when he's been available.

It would be ok if he had only missed 2 meetings (with no rain offs etc). Unfortunately there will probably be another 2 or 3 meetings he would have missed if the Workington situation hadn't arrisen or the Edinburgh match wasnt  rained off.
