Progress would've been keeping his average in a tougher position, but even that didn't happen. Of course this now means he's got a better chance of finding a team place next year. 37 minutes ago, Bandit59 said: And Dayle Wood who Dickson said at the beginning of the season would be one of the strongest in the league 1 minute ago, szkocjasid said: Berwick had the opportunity to swap either rider for Trigger. I would've brought him in for Smith. Which would have then seen Hagon go to reserve

Only in speedway can you be rewarded for failure and penalised for success!

Absolutely no aggression in his riding, not a great gater and then just gives up. Him and Smith were embarrassingly bad last night. Surely you have to include Dayle Wood in that remark? Hagon is still young and learning. Being at #2 can't be helping, as he comes up against the oppositions #1 in his first ride and (probably) a much stronger #2 opponent. Jack Smith has been around for quite some time now and clearly isn't getting any better, but clubs still insist on giving him "another" chance. Arguably the same could be said about Dayle Wood (new over here, but has been riding for quite a while) and has maybe reached the standard he will achieve?

We have the same with Luke Harrison, young riders just learning their trade. They have good rides as a reserve and get bumped up into the main body of the team and struggle . It happens far to often and the newcomers need some sort of protection at this level.

Taken from Edinburgh website: "Joining Adam in the team is Dayle Wood - a new name to British Speedway but with experience from Australia. The 28 year-old from Wagga Wagga, New South Wales has raced motorcycles since the age of 6 before transitioning to speedway in 2018 having always watched and loved the sport." https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2023-02-08/roynon-and-wood-join-monarchs-academy

Not the night I was hoping for yesterday… ended up getting blue lighted into hospital after the crash. 🚑 I was struggling with bad chest pain and reduced air entry in my left lung, plus oxygen sats stuck at 93 (should be 98-99) which had the doctors worried. After scans and bloods it turns out I’ve been lucky – nothing major showing up – but I honestly feel like I’ve been hit by a bus today. Not sure exactly what this means for me right now, but I’ll need to take some time to rest and heal properly. Thanks for all the messages – really appreciate the support. ❤️ 📸 Steve Edmunds #JJ85 I wouldn't have thought so judging by that post. Well thanks for that but that’s Jordan Jenkins, who doesn’t ride for Berwick.
