That's right, similar situation arose in moto gp a while back, Mark marquez riding for honda was banned for 10 days or so when the next gp was a week away so he would miss it, however flooding cancelled that event, honda successfully argued that he'd served his ban even though he hadn't missed a gp which was the intended  punishment, within 48hrs Dorna amended  ruling so in future the ban would be for a meeting irrespective of time, so Bowes has to miss the next say 5 meetings for his team .maybe a simpler way to impose punishment but what happens now is like banning father xmas from delivering parcels the first two weeks in june

Wish they would ban him on the 24th,25th&26th lol

Really can't see many radical changes to the structure in 2026, they will probably go Premiership/Championship again.

6 clubs in Prem, 9 in Championship.

Which will see the usual gaps in the calendar, maybe some form of National League will now be viable for Workington and we get a few extra meetings that way, because if it's anything like what we saw yesterday at Northside it produces great entertainment.

I'm only counting 5 so far Belle Vue, Sheffield, Leicester, Ipswich and Kings Lynn. No Birmingham and Oxford .Have I missed anybody?

Few extra meetings ? You expecting more teams in the NDL than the Championship then ?.

Can you really take a one off individual meeting where a number of the riders were of a similar decent Championship level and competed well against each other with what you could expect to see every week if we were in the NDL. After saying that the NDL wasn't a bad standard in 2023.

If the status quo remains then I doubt anything will change. A couple of big playoff crowds doesn't mask the generally poor attendances witnessed at many of meetings last season and the financial difficulties many encountered. 5 Premiership teams doesn't excite me personally and raises questions.

Going to be interesting to see what happens. Nobody llkes change but sometimes it is necessary. If it isn't broke don't fix it it but when it is that case is harder to make.

It is strongly rumoured to be Northampton joining the other 5 making 6 clubs.

Think you've misundertood, I mean a few extra meetings as in National League racing on top of Championship meetings of course, like a lot of other clubs have done this season.

Are you saying Workington are also going to run in natioal league also? Good track and the British final proved it.

I'm all for new clubs but would be very surprised if a new club came straight in at Premiership level.

Yeah I did misunderstand re National League. Would be nice to have a NDL team in addition to a Championship side but only if it was fully costed and didn't jeopardise the financial viability of the club.

It's my thoughts only, nothing at all to suggest it will happen. As @SteelShoe says, if it was financially viable and well sponsored it would only add to the fablous product we have at Northside.
