Poole 2025

Recommended Posts

Not the first time that's occured.

I know of riders who were owed a lot of money in 2019 by Leicester (when Bates in charge) - 6 to 8 meetings in arrears - it was paid eventually, I must stress but riders who complained usually shipped out.

Other Clubs were sanctioned, put on special measures, closed but a blind eye was turned if it was a Club linked to Management Committee or favoured Clubs.

Whats all this got to do with Poole 2025?

Well to get back to Poole 2025, I'm feeling more up beat about Poole's current form after seeing the last two meetings. Good to see Zac, Tobias, Cairns & Starke, all coming on strong at this crucial time. We are blessed with Mr Reliable Lawson, who continues to do the business. My only concerns are: Kerr's bike preparation presumably down to his spanner man or lack of funds? but totally fixable. My other concern is Anders form, he seems to be putting the effort in but isn't getting the results. Not sure what I would suggest.

Pity the fixtures are getting spread out, making it harder to build up momentum.

In the post-meeting interviews Lewis firstly had an electrical fault and then a puncture!!  Anders - after a hellish week with vans breaking down and late track arrivals -  said he has 'lost his gating gloves' and was hoping for some more track time at Sheffield (Oops!) and in Poland at the weekend.

Everything fixable and both will be fine imo.

Might be worth putting Zach back at 5 for a week or so as be stronger in H13 then.

We are definitely weaker in heat 13 at the moment, pressure seems to be all on Richard to win that race, perhaps Zach could move to 5, only problem is if 3 and 4 are struggling, we've got problems

I think its a bit late in the season to start playing around with rider pairings - just my opinion.

Yeah ,  not paying riders correctly breaches SCB regulations. Rules for some but not others it would seem.

Richard has always been  a consistent points scorer.

Cami critical of the refs decisions which he claims all went against the Tigers, also the Poole fans especially those near to the pits who he claimed verbally abused the Glasgow riders. Shaping up nicely for a battle royale in the second leg.

Behave yourself all you fans up there.

So we should expect a hostile reception I would imagine. As it isnt on a stream we have to rely on the views of attendees!

Speedway updates or Poole's twitter/X platform will carry updates, unless of course BSN can be pressured to cover it!!!?

Kevin and Jan going on  Sunday. Always good greeting from home fans. Pity a couple of IDIOTS have caused all this media coverage. Let's talk speedway.

It should concern Matt and Danny when people say they are not returning as a direct result of what seems to be a very small cluster of abusive spectators (I won't use the word 'fans').

At next meeting with Glasgow -- there's bound to be at least one! -- the promotion should keep a watching brief on this cabal, identify those concerned and warn them against causing further trouble.

A public statement regarding the incident (and, if security had to be called, it happened) might also be a sensible way to go.
