Ben when interviewed at Poole last week said that riding in Poland is much different to UK,especially as his injury is not 100%.Banning him won’t really bother him IMO.Just helps his case if he wants away. Whether he comes back is another thing altogether. He came in as a 7 pointer (6.99), averaged 3.20 in his 4 meetings, and guests or RR has averaged 6.00 from 5 meetings. So combined under 5.. Essentially the club gets a month's grace if a rider witholds their services and after that they need to replace them or they only get a 75% guest. LisaColette Posted June 15 Report Share Posted June 15 Ben Cook returned from his wrist injury which has kept him on the sidelines for 2 months on Sunday 15th June for his Polish Metalkas 2 Ekstraliga club Leszno scoring 12 points from his 5 rides, however immediately after the fixture Mr Cook complained of further wrist pain and was examined by his club’s medical staff. Mr Cook is to receive further intensive rehabilitation in order to identify the problem and has been medically withdrawn from any further racing for a further 7 days. The Speedway Control Bureau have received a medical certificate for Mr Cook ruling him out for a further 7 days as from the 15th June 2025. StarBoy Posted June 15 Report Share Posted June 15 Not sure if it’s still a thing, but does he not need to ride in the UK to maintain his visa status? I’m sure it been mentioned that he’s living in Poole with Middleditch and to continue doing that he has to have a UK based job. Obviously at the minute being declared injured is bypassing that, but when he is fully fit surely he has to be riding for a UK club? Will be interesting to see what the situation with Pickering will be after he crashed today.
