With Leicester now postponing tomorrow night semi final due to weather and the first leg now at Sheffield on Thursday, does this mean the final will be pushed and Ipswich has lost the chance to lift the trophy at Foxhall? If so, the league and speedway in this country is a joke altogether.

Good question.

I don't know but it may depend on whether Sheffield make the final or not.

Revised details can now be confirmed for the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-offs following the postponement of Monday’s semi-final at Leicester.
With the Lions’ opponents Sheffield electing to retain their regular home race night this week, the Tigers will stage what has become the first leg on Thursday September 18.
The second leg of the semi-final will be at Leicester on Monday September 22, whilst Thursday September 25 will be held as a reserved date. The Grand Final will not start on this date.
There is then a break for the FIM Speedway of Nations, with the Grand Final to take place on Monday October 6 (at Sheffield or Leicester) and Thursday October 9 (at Ipswich).

Also, I have a feeling this will mean that Dan T and Ellis swap again... Am I right in thinking that the Sheffield fixture will adjust the averages, but the playoff don't?

Yep - Dan back to 0.05 below Adam

6.07/6.02

So unless the outstanding Sheffield/Ipswich qualifier is raced before the 23rd it will stay that way

Just pray Brennan and Doyle don’t get injured in SoN

I agree, I also think the chances of Doyle taking part in the SoN are minimal imo.

Surely the backbone of the team has got to be Kurtz, J. Holder and Fricke? The top 3 Australian's in the GP standings.

So yesterday they announce that 25th September was a reserved date in case either of the 2nd semi matches get postponed, then today they announce a fixture on the reserved date !!

Perhaps it is to help Sheffield

For them to agree for it to be a reserved date for the semi surely they would have to have the stadium owners on board and that would likely be at a cost

If the date isn't required to complete the semi final then that would be a wasted expense unless the league fixture fills the space

Therefore this seems like sensible planning to me

Neither of them will be involved unless there is a spate of injuries to Bewley, Lambert, Kurtz, J Holder & Fricke which seems unlikely since fixtures are now few & far between.

Doubtful Doyle will get a ride, can’t imagine he will even be in the three picked. Brennan will probably be the third GB rider but may not even get a ride, Ellis won’t even be picked. Thompson will ride in SON2 though
