THE DEAN MACHINE
When the riders came out for their victory lap before going on podium why did they have helmets on and why did they all take their fork covers off ?

All for wanting to look professional but they take it to another level. You get a lot of the “oh look at us we’re team GB” vibe from it, more than one team staying in the same hotel as them yet they’re the only ones with the daft posters at the door saying official hotel of Team GB. It’s just daft.
THE DEAN MACHINE
Despite having team Kevlars I thought it was good to see race jackets with the flag of the country on, thought it looked very traditional and I am a fan of team Kevlars

Had to have helmets on for doing wheelies etc, all the bikes they rode in the meeting would’ve been in the fenced off area where they need to stay for 30 minutes after their last race so probably on the spares.

They will both have learned a shed load from the meeting but I think the Team GB set up needs to get our 15 & 16 year olds riding in Poland and other countries on 500cc machines more regularly if we want to be competitive in these types of meetings. You could see from the way they were riding that Bednar, the Danes, the Aussies etx are all completely at home on a track like Torun and that only comes from experience, and probably loads of training time. Vatcher being one of them, doesn’t add anything, prances around sprouting crap, offers nothing. Along with all the others with nonsense job titles, jobs for the mates stuff. I do agree about the hangers on but that’s widespread in speedway in general, I’ve been pointing out some of speedways greatest freeloaders for years and they don’t like it either when you point them out

I would go as far as saying he single handedly kept Bydgoszcz in with a fighting chance! I’m in Gorzow now staying with the family and going to the Sunday match so it will be interesting to see him live!
