Heated discussion going on between Phil morris and zmarzlik about not being ready to pick his gate, fact is this, bartoz was there and there was so much messing around (10mins) bartoz walked back to his bike which was literally 15 foot away and came back to the stage, where the was another 5 minutes wait before anything happened, it’s a shambles in the pits, lots of freeloaders standing hands in pockets, nobody seems to know what’s going on

I have never been a fan of  Morris either as a  rider or whatever he is supposed to be in s/way now .

They seem to be trying mess BZ about anyway they can total BS ,technical penalties/exclusions are why I don't watch F1.

Hope he blows the lot away tonight even though got the worst draw !

The fact he was forced into an interview, says everything. How you can say he wasn't ready after all the faffing is around, clearly a 'fix'.

Phil morris says he wasn’t there when 2 mins clock ended of which is correct , he was standing 15ft away, bartoz pit bay is the closest to the gate stand of all the riders

While I get the anger from zmarzlik, he should just of sent his pit crew to argue his point and he should just let it  go and do the talking on track, the only was to beat zmarzlik is to get into his head and I don’t think this will work but it takes his focus away

Good explanations and graphics on TNT but the whole format looked a mess on track and was just a bit dull

Could at least start together even if on opposite straights like a cycling pursuit

Better still a proper match race even if only over 2 laps

From af TV viewer perspective I don't see what Zmarzlik did wrong.

As soon as the four riders came into the pits after the Sprint Race finished, you could see the other riders beginning to gather around podium. Then they put on the replays of the Sprint on TV. After that they go straight back to the podium where Zmarzlik is standing and waiting with the other riders for a few minutes before they decide he was late. Even the commentators were confused since we were just waiting for nothing.

I understand that there is a clock for the riders in the pits area and maybe he was late according to that. But from a TV perspective, he was right on time.

Exactly this, we were right over the pits and zmarzlik was there waiting for what seemed like ages but the 2 mins  had already expired, he was in his pit bay when it expired

"It is compulsory for each rider to always wear their riding number jacket or race jacket design on race suits during TV interviews, draws, free practice, qualifying, opening ceremony, press conferences, racing, prize giving ceremony and in the pits area."

Many of the rider
s were not wearing their race suits.

The “in the pits area” makes no sense. So they’re not allowed to wear casual clothes at any time in the pits? Every single rider breached that, and quite right too. Fair enough for when they are practicing, racing and any time on tv but why the rest of the time?

If they are trying to mess with Zmarzlik to put him off to give the other s a chance .They d be better of making him start on the back straight behind the other 3 riders in the race lol
