Tigers nobody could get the set up right or get out of the starts. Pickering had a go without getting any fresh air. Kerr and Rowe struggled. Guest Tom Brennan was always going to be up against it replicating Holder's form but apart from 2 race wins lacked pace. Lions fully deserved the victory. Fricke a class f his own last night - Fairplay 18pt MAXIMUM Fricke is just taking Easy Money from UK Promoters. He is a class act.Gating last night ,some weeks when not ,just settles for what’s on offer.Fair play for riding here though. Not wishing to labour the point, I'm going to labour the point. Since Max Fricke joined Leicester: 2023 rode in 24 out of 24 league matches 2024 rode in 24 out of 24 league matches 2025 has ridden in 10 out of 10 league matches Brings his mechanical team to all meetings, not a turn up and ride the track spare with a have spanner will travel mechanic Hasn't missed any matches chasing personal glory Hasn't let the club down on the eve of the season Hasn't been done for taking drugs! Yes he had a slow start to his Leicester career and went missing in the Finals last year, but everybody is entitled to a duffer now and again, it was just unfortunate it was in the final... that's sport. I'd say he was the model "star" for the Premiership League and like you say... he's a class act. 👍

To be fair to the Tigers riders and manager, they were very honest in their interviews in the pits and made no excuses for what was going on. How many times in this forum do posters go on about gate and go, riders spaced out, no passing etc, all pointing at the track preparation/design/shape etc. Just in case some people haven’t realised, the ability to make good starts away from the tapes is the most important requirement in a riders skill set. It always has been and always will be at all levels of the sport. Riders have to take that on board and do whatever is necessary in terms of practice and set ups. As professional sportsman, riders will take earnings from points over entertaining every time. As much as we all love Bomber, he’d definitely take more consistently trapping over picking his way through from the back. Regardless of the track, believe it or not, it’s the same for all riders. The better riders will always prosper due to their ability and mindset. No, no, no, no!! You don’t sit down riders like PC, Mort, Smith, Screen, Loram, Bewley etc and tell them to learn to gate better. You sit the promoters down and demand that they provide race tracks that allows this type of rider to RACE on.

That is the reality of the low numbers that still attend... You cannot lose too many times at home as those who still treat the sport as a bona fide sporting competition start to drop off... And without those "die hards" you don't have anyone to replace them... The NSS delivers great racing every week, and, usually, big home wins, yet crowds are sometimes lower than even at the dog bowl... The sport truly needs to reinvent itself in the UK, there is simply no other option... And this is at least, probably two decades late in happening.. It won't happen though as those running it have neither the vision for the sport, nor, clearly as evidence shows over the past 30 years plus,, the capability to promote and market it.. Please don't use that tired old "put their lives on the line for our entertainment" trope. They do it because i) they enjoy it, b) they're good at it, and 3) most make a living from it. The point I was making is that they don't have to pay to watch what they are producing, supposedly in the name of entertainment - if entertainment was their primary concern, the racing should be better. Zagarmeister
I used to think Arena Essex(Lakeside)was bad but Leicester is the WORST track in the history of British Speedway. The only track where I don’t bother watching a meeting. ONE overtake all night !!!!!!!! Edited June 14 by Zagarmeister

Yes let’s make all tracks big and fast Guessing you never watched Mark Loram at Arena or Eastbourne then … now that’s a proper speedway rider not a throttle jockey just winding it on out in the dirt On you tube somewhere is a meeting in 1999 at Eastbourne v Poole … watch it and tell me the racing isn’t good !!!
