Don't understand why Oxford didn't just operate R/R at 2 when they had 2 in form reserves. Cost Oxford the metting.

Zach Cook was very poor, don't know what's happened to him this year, hopefully he shows the same form on Friday night.

He's not riding on Friday. Jason Edwards instead according to BSN.

That's exactly it, I cannot understand how he can be so bad? How has he still got a job as team manager? Do the promotion not see the mistakes all the fans see?

To think he got manager of the year award last season baffles me!

Maybe the award was for the number of UK teams managed, or mismanaged depending on your point of view 😃

To be fair to Schroeck Killeen wasn't in form before the meeting, but could still have gone with r/r knowing McDiarmid was flying before the match.

Maybe Schroeck couldn't handle r/r, he can barely manage to give his stronger reserve more rides in matches lol!

Dont know what is happening with Zach, rode well for us at Oxford then  not great last night.

That was first meeting of the season though? He was good then, last couple of weeks been off form for us. Been good for BV though!

He was almost unbeatable that night, looked so quick but last night was pretty awful in comparison. Dont know why his form is so good for BV.

Wouldn't be first rider to prioritise his prem club over his champ one.

dont think theres any less commitment or effort but would be stupid not to keep best equipment for premiership and overseas, remember when chris holder won world championship he had one engine that year that was so quick he never used it in league meetings anywhere just the gps

I’m not one to criticise Oxford Speedway (we all waited ages for it to reopen), but a few things after last night.

First off, Peter Schroeck is a hardworking bloke who’s passionate about the sport. But his decisions, or lack thereof, are starting to get a bit worrying, especially when it affects the team at home. It’s clear to me that there are a lot of empty spaces around the stadium, and winning at home is crucial.

The track is often a dustbowl and hardly ever gets any improvement after some of the longest track grading breaks in speedway.

And let’s not forget about car parking despite a £2 charge It says shuttle bus subject to availability as of yesterday, but in my experience, it’s never been available . This puts off a lot of people, especially those who aren’t as mobile

I think the management of the club should start taking notice of these issues before more and more people start to drift away.

You might be right! I’m surprised that someone with Jamie Courtney’s undeniable passion and obvious enthusiasm would let that happen. But hey, who knows?

But not a sensational result as was mentioned. Gusts, Bowtell and Zach got 6 between them!

imagine what glasgow would be like if they had a decent reserve , personally i think they need to give someone else a shot

It still finished earlier than most Glasgow meetings.

Talk me through how that stops it being a sensational result? They only scored those points because Glasgow riders stopped them scoring more. Bizarre statement

The team was built top heavy with 2 x 2 pointers at reserve, to get a stronger reserve they would have to drop 1 of the top 5 and as you know if we drop 2 then have to bring combined averages to under 40, if our top 4 /5 continue to do the business then it gives our 2 young reserves time to gain experience and they actually do okay against other 2 point reserves
