Sheffield v Leicester KO Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg - Thursday 5th June

Recommended Posts

SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Josh Pickering, Lewi Kerr, Chris Holder, Justin Sedgmen, Leon Flint.
LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Kyle Howarth, Sam Masters, Drew Kemp, Joe Thompson.

Can Sheffield pull back 18 points to reach their 4th KO Cup Final in a row?  In their home matches so far they’ve had 61, 3 x 57 and 46 points so it’s not like they’ve not scored that amount before, this Leicester side pretty solid at 1-5 at Owlerton but will be carrying their reserves.
Should be a Sheffield win on the night as can’t see Jack Holder or Pickering dropping many points and should receive back up from Chris Holder but don’t think it’ll be enough for the aggregate win, the drop form of Rowe over the last few away matches and Sedgmen not being prolific around Owlerton might be too much to get the points needed.  Leicester have riders who are capable of good scores around Owlerton in Howarth whose scored double figures around there regularly, Douglas and Masters whose guested a bit over the years there, Fricke and Becker very much hit and miss though.  Going for a 51-39 scoreline with Leicester going through 93-87 on aggregate.

Good effort by Leicester to pull such a lead on the tigers but its deffo all to play for when you normally think of J. Holder and Picko picking up almost maxes for both riders. It'll be the battle of the reserves that could swing it I think.

Good luck to both sides, hope if it goes ahead everyone gets to watch a good meeting! Shame Sheffield don't live stream as I would have paid to watch this one as I can't go to Foxhall tonight.

No rain forecast for Sheffield after 5 pm. No rain yesterday and what's come down this morning and overnight hasn't been extreme. If the track staff can get a good start on track prep this afternoon there's no reason this shouldn't go ahead.

Currently hammering it down on the outskirts of Sheffield
