Didn’t have the best meeting at Foxhall a couple of weeks ago but generally he’s very good here. I personally still think rider replacement is the stronger way to go at home. I know people will point to the home defeat against Leicester while using it and only gaining five points from the facility, but that was an anomaly for me. One point between two rider replacement rides between Emil and Brennan at Foxhall is extremely rare. You only have to look at the Foxhall averages of Emil, Brennan, King and Ellis to see the strength there. Away from home is a different kettle of fish. I’d look for guests every time. I still believe if we had thompson we could cover RR almost as if Doyle wasn’t there, don’t get me wrong you can’t replace him and you want him at every meeting but to have Thompson as someone you can switch between heats is a game changer the way he rides. My fear is when he returns he isn’t 100%, I remember King struggling when he returned from a hand injury. We need to just take whatever we can and be super patient so we don’t rush them back. Doyle is riding in Manchester though! Good news as long as it isn’t a rush job back again for him!
ShanoXtra Posted yesterday at 08:18 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:18 AM On a positive, and not to be horrid to the other riders, but I am slightly happy I didn’t see lambert or Hume in the line up, as harsh as that sounds.

Totally agree losing Dan has been a killer and I also share your concerns on his form when he returns. Hand/wrist injuries can be extremely troublesome for Speedway riders. We can only hope he comes back 100% fit and picks up exactly where he left off.

I dunno if Mountain is any better or worse then Hume or Lambert tbf, Mountain couldn't get on with Foxhall when he was a Ipi rider yrs back, haps he'll find it easier to get round as the shape of the track has changed a fair bit from back in the day, dunno when he last rode at Foxhall and what his scores were when he did. Like been said i think Thompson is more of a miss then Doyle the Dan's been riding this season, R/R or a decent guest would hopefully cover Doyles at home but no one who's replaces Dan has scored anything like he would score at Foxhall or away. Steve Irving
Jack Holder back for this, but you wonder how much attention he’ll give this meeting with the GP on Friday..

Dan’s second in our Averages this season and been scoring double figures in a lot of meetings. When you replace that with someone who’s only scoring a couple of points, that results in a huge swing in the overall score. His absence can’t be understated.
InTheDeepStuff
Having witnessed Sheffield’s last two lacklustre away performances can only see a big Ipswich win. For Sheffield we know both Holder’s don’t generally go well at Foxhall (will Jack be putting it all on the line ahead of a double SGP weekend?) Pickering is hit and miss averages less than 6 away, Sedgman and Kerr only any use if they gate, Rowe another like Pickering who struggles away from home circuit. As for Ipswich can see the engine room of the team (King, Brennan and Ellis) easily getting 30 points between the three of them, Mountain and Jenkins should outscore there reserve opposition, can’t see anyone touching Sayfutdinov and Masters generally quick from the gate he might not score what Doyle does around Foxhall but should be knocking double digits. Think it will be somthing like 55-35 to Ipswich a very very comfortable night for them
Aries
48-42 will do me tbh as that’ll take the bonus point.
old bob at herne bay
Ippo with gusts should have enough to get them over the line against Sheffield. They were outgated at Leicester last night, and expect more of the same - if you miss the gate at Foxhall - nul points. Except Sayfootdinoff and Doyley 🙂

I am guessing that the options are limited, who else works within the average available? As much as Danyon always gives his all for the Witches, it was clear that he is not the answer nor is Lambert. Badge
One happy bunny here, Sam is a rider I'd have loved to have had as a witch, although I'd rather have Doyley, should take the pressure off the other guys a bit. No one can replace Dan so any points Connor can score will be good.
