Oxford ‘Spires’ vs King’s Lynn ‘Stars’ - Thursday 12th June

Recommended Posts

Early predictions for this one. Will Janowski be fit for the Spires? Is Craig Cook back? Assume Blodorn will guest for Cook? Jody Scott for Boughen this time? I’m going for a narrow Stars win - 43-47.

edit - Blodorn is riding for Poznan, so can’t be him. Maybe Z Cook this time round?

Heard tonight, Jody Scott.

Hasn't Luke Harrison signed for Lynn, why would Jody Scott be at reserve?

Rob said on Monday that they will be rotating between Luke and Jody. They just have to redeclare their lineup each time

I thought there was a rule that if you drop a rider they can only come back in at management committee discretion? Of course the management committee may have no issue with Lynn's plans!

It's a bit silly as to why they can't just guest imo. They start on a 3 basically like all rising stars anyway, regardless of what average they achieve in the Championship.

Janowski and Tungate signed as HL's to ride at No.1 & No.5, Now they're riding as second strings at No.2 & No.4.

Pretty much sums up Oxford's time in the Premiership over the last two years.

Can only see a KL win by 4-6 Points.

I just had a look. I didn't realise how bad they both have been so far. The pair started on 14.73 between them, and have averaged 9.69 so far.

Kildermand at reserve is handy for them. On the other hand, Howarth bagged 8 from 4 there for Leicester earlier in the season, and looked pretty good in Mondays meeting.

If Nicolai has his gating gloves on, and Howarth can chip in with 6 or so, plus heats 13 and 15 won't be as tough as most places think we could get over the line.

Oxford 44 Stars 46

Perhaps they have realised Harrison ISNT eligible to guest after all.......

On the redeclaration us outgoing average is 3.16 and Boughen shows as 3

The rotating declaration is just another manipulation of the regs to effectively allow Harrison to guest

how is it manipulation? Its black and white in the rules. Was it manipulation when you ended up with Jenkins at reserve despite other teams wanting him before you?
