Odds On
To be brutally honest, absolute shambles. BSN commentators were poor. Track was a disgrace.both sets of riders not impressed with conditions or preparation ….after the recent GP’s any newbies who went or watched it on the stream must be thinking what an absolute sh7t show….sometimes British speedway does itself no favours at all.

Col
Well only one word to describe that, abject. Tigers didn't need to get out of reverse to win easily. Waste of time & petrol. That was enough to put anyone off the sport for life. Minimum effort from the home riders, Musielak aside. A track which offers nothing other than an inside line. And absolutely no atmosphere.

And Sheffield being allowed to improve their team by having a Leicester and BV rider... I look forward to the ITN news tonight to find out the result... They will, literally, pay millions collectively to riders who put hardly one extra bum cheek on a seat... Yet, Jack "Barry White" to a professional marketing company who could give these riders some profile, notice and resonance.. Imagine Barry Hearn with Dan Bewley? He would have him all over the place... Well meaning amateurs pretending they are professionals.. They have zero skill set for what they do... Hey mikebv, you come on this forum often enough so you must have the sport at heart. Like many others on here as well including myself. Probably total wishful thinking but what if certain supporters like yourself, Iainb and others who obviously care about the sport were invited by the British Promoters to attend a meeting (all expenses paid of course!) to put all views/opinions forward prior to their annual November get together. Providing there was a "full" commitment from the promoters that they would seriously listen to all views put forward and advocate changes where they thought possible, would you attend?
szkocjasid
When I look at the Birmingham scores, none of them look particularly bad, which I guess just goes to show how weak they are.

Ultimately missing a proper no.1. They'd hardly set the world alight even so but you need that rider to win heat 1, and Musielak isn't it. God bless you.... They won't listen to me ..... "If it ain't broken, why fix it?"... The answers are glaring themselves in the face... But, their collective egos won't allow any radical changes... If you started the sport from scratch, brand new, next year, and wrote down the current operating model on a blank A4 piece of paper as your plan... You wouldn't even get to page two before ripping page one up!!...

You couldn't possibly alienate all those people who have been going for "forty years you know, in the same spot with my thermos and blanket..." by doing something radical. No, seriously, you couldn't possibly alienate them or the whole thing would collapse, there's nobody else going...
