Can anyone explain why Birmingham preferred to keep Hagon over Edwards?

Nope! Myself and some other shareholders in the club are asking our promoters the exact same question!

What's up with Doyle?

No injury or anything, his bike gave up in heat one then he came second and first. He just completed 3 rides and didn’t partake in the rest of the meeting as we already won it but heat 13. He didn’t ride in 15 nor did Emil. He only got switched in heat 13, and that was with Thompson.

It was a poor decision to choose Hagon over Edwards and whoever made that decision should not really be doing the job, if it's Chris Adams then he does not have enough experience to be Team Manager and this decision proves it, if its Laurence Rogers then we all know Laurence has many good traits but being Team Manager is not one of them, and if it's Nigel Tolley that made the decision then he is getting what he deserves.

I think Jason Edwards had a point to prove tonight and boy did he make the Birmingham management look silly 12+1 from 5 rides well done Jason, this was compounded by young Sam really struggling by failing to score in his four rides.

I would say he proved his point on Monday when he basically won the match for Oxford guesting (obviously magic done amazing as well)

Well the Brummies loss is the Witches gain - he's looked decent so far scoring a few points but tonight's haul is possibly his best ever - he may well end up giving the Ipswich management a dilemma of their own when the 28th day comes!

Could well do, however I can see him earning a 2026 contract regardless of league set up.

Pleased for him - he rode well for the Tigers the other year didn’t really do anything wrong and found himself out etc - he’s just got on with it!

“Jason (Doyle) only did three heats tonight and was suffering from a tooth infection. He gave himself a jolt when he nearly crashed in his third ride and I’m sure if the scores were closer, he’d have gone out in heat 13. With the way the things are with the season he is having and the injuries and now an infection in his mouth, I don’t like pulling them out of a heat 13, but it was the sensible thing to do in the grand scheme of things.

“Dan is getting over his ear infection that affected him last week, but it was a tough night for him in the difficult conditions, and he struggled getting himself setup. He now has 10 days off from our meetings and that little break will help him and I’m sure he will be back to his best soon.

Costs?

If Edwards has double the average then it won't be far off double the money surely?

Let's face it, Birmingham's season ended the moment it declared its team, so no point throwing any more money at it...

Tolley has spent enough flogging the dead horse and keeping Birmingham going, so whatever he doesnt spend between now and season end no one can surely begrudge...
