Zischke didn’t ride for Workington last night( injured)so if it’s him, got to be doubtful? Also why is Mulford not riding?Apparently 4 other riders who are competing in the same event, taking place on Saturday night!! are riding for their clubs at Glasgow on Friday, so why can’t he ride for his Club???He hardly ever rides for Redcar, missing next week as well I believe, how can you have weeks and weeks without a match, then when you do have one, riders are not turning up?

Yes I know, we get the pathetic argument that all this European experience will make these riders better and benefit the club!!! Mulford scored zero in his last home match for Redcar and zero and withdrew from his last match for Redcar at Glasgow. The whole situation is a joke!

So it appears, Anders Rowe as been ordered to ride in Poland, Danny Ford is far from happy

Nothing he can do about it though, Poland own the weekends.

I am far from happy with the situation that has confronted us. Anders has been forced to miss our meeting at Redcar as his Polish club, Ostrow, have ordered him to be available for their re-arranged fixture at Lodz and we have been told that we need to release him. This, in my view, contravenes the agreement our governing body has with the Polish Federation and it is extremely frustrating. Under the agreement, this clash of dates should have fallen in our favour, as he is a British rider and it is not his club's regular race night. I am so annoyed that we have not had the support from our association in this matter. In no way do I blame Anders."

"He finds himself between a rock and a hard place, I know he feels bad about having to miss our trip to Redcar but I feel that we owe it to British fans for the authorities to face up to these unacceptable pressures applied by Polish clubs."

That's British speedway in a nutshell, isn't it? If it contravenes the agreement - like, actually does, not just a feeling - then stand firm and order him to ride at Redcar. If it doesn't, then fair enough.

Can you imagine Poland buckling and letting a Pole ride in the UK instead of his Polish club, even if we'd agree not to do that?
