Felt a tad ashamed of being a Poole supporter tonight. We had such a superb crowd, just over 2,100 according the numbers given to the stewards. But my word, if I was some of them I wouldn’t come back. That track was awful. The dust from heat number one should’ve been a good sign to water it more but it took until half way through the meeting for someone to effectively p**s on it. And it did absolutely nothing too it.

never mind the whole starting gate stuff as well. Not a good look tonight

One positive, the addition of Lee from
PirateCast to the announcing team this season is such a good move

I think many of them will return, it was a good meeting with some good racing and passing, yes a bit dusty at times but that is expected at this time of year.

Correct!

After the meeting Starke and Cairns were trying out different set-ups under the watchful eyes of Matt Ford and Richard Lawson  until the ref got impatient for the second half of upright races.

Nothing to do with impatience it was how Will asked to be told when he had had his time.

I doubt if matt ford would know how to set up a children's tricycle! but good to see lawson helping both reserves

Not from heat one though surely? That just smacks of poor prep.

Matt's the owner so after his 'motivational' team talk in the pits he's entitled to keep a 'watchful eye' on his riders' gating.

See the young superstar star got another big zero in the reserve race !!!

People wonder why young brits walk away from the sport with stuff like this. He’s 16 years old, I’d like to see if you’d have got to where he has at 16! All for a bit of banter between clubs but stop bagging young riders trying to make it, it’s boring.

oxfords side is a strange one, its got an out and out n1 and 5 or 6 random others that turn up when they please, ride in random positions and score randomly too. Might be the way forward because they arent doing badly .

Why didn't the ref stop the race then

thats why i mentioned the ref also, both the ref and the start marshal were wrong

it was disgusting that the start marshal grabbed the tapes soon as poole made the gate on a 5-1 but didnt the 2 times oxford gated on a 5-1

the ref stopped the race the 2 times oxford made the gate but didnt when the start marshal held the tapes after heat 15,

so 1, why did the start marshal only act when oxford made the gate .

and 2, why didnt the ref also step in and stop the race in heat 15
