Sheffield v Belle Vue Monday 11th August Live on TV

Recommended Posts

pretty much as expected but worse, doubt ill be going to Sheffield again unless we meet in final. which we wont, never seem to be able to find a good spot to view from. was on middle 3/4 bend where you have stanchions and netting spoiling your view + speakers, but to top it of tonight had about 5 spastic kids on speed blowing whistles all  night, did my head in., ill be back when they open the back straight, jack holder rider of the night for me.

putting the ts in against holder off gate one was spot on

the track is awful but too many bv riders have ridden the wrong part of the track too often

essentially its a gating contest though bar one or two heats

too much dirt out wide

Sour grapes or what. Kurtz beat Morris and Pickering by hugging the curb remember that one?

If the big names are here next season then who do BV pick between Kurtz & Bewley?

Going with both clearly won't work on those GSA's.

Looking at the current GSA’s and taking into account Dan’s Brit reduction for next season, we can keep six of this years team and replace Cook with Zagar.

Fair play to BV for sticking with Zischke, Basically threw away any chance of winning a trophy.

Fair play is The Aces way, sadly lacking in our sport and life in general imo.

not sure if he is older than Jan kvech ?

Leon is still young. He’s only 16 months older than Norick.

Had a read of updates and I’ve seen the Brady race on social media but apart from this and the world number four passing their RS for second, is their anything else I’ll miss after the first seven seconds of the heat if I don’t watch the “highlights” on Dmax?

That is a problem at Owlerton, 3/4 bends is definitely the best view due to the shallow steps on the home straight terracing & equipment on the dog track.

Flint has improved, but he has reached his level just his gating has improved and likes big tracks where speed  is all that matters .

Given that these days riders often peak in their 30s and that 3 or 4 years ago the concensus seemed to be that Brady Kurtz had 'reached his level' I think that is a brave statement.(

Well enjoyable meeting for in some ways - the racing was fairly close in a few heats and there was one or two really good overtaking moves, heat 5 in particular was very good. Aces fell away due to lack of support for the top 3 - Blodorn having a mare right now!

Flint and Rowe certainly make the Tigers really strong at home as they back up the heatleaders so well, Morris seems to have picked up well after his layoff also.

Good crowed at Sheffield , track was prepared for racing and we had some good heats. But were was the grader once the dirt moved out we got the one line follow the leader racing' Come on track staff drag the dirt back off the fence people dont pay to see riders following each other two foot rom the  fence.  More racing lines are needed first few races were good both inside and outside being used. Sheffield used to be a great racetrack and still should be if they pull the dirt back more often.

They can't as it would dislodge the potatoes.
