Plymouth v Berwick - 23rd August

The Plymouth Gladiators will be boosted by the return of Danish star Nicolai Klindt for their final home fixture of the season this Saturday against the Berwick Bandits.

Klindt has been watching closely from the sidelines in recent weeks and admits it has been tough not being involved:

“I’ve been following the boys closely over the last couple of meetings where I unfortunately haven’t been available. Our last home meeting ended in a very narrow loss, with Lasse, Joe and Ben all being out due to injury, it would have been a different story if they’d been there

I’m really excited about finally being back at the Coliseum and I aim to bring my away form into Saturday and finish our season off with a win. Mark, Gary and everyone at the club deserves so much more than this season has ended up with due to injuries and misfortune, so to finish off with a big win against Berwick would be a great way to finish off this season at home!”

With his determination clear, Klindt will be looking to lead from the front and give Gladiators fans the result they deserve on what promises to be an emotional night at the Coliseum.
The curtain comes down on an action-packed speedway season this Saturday 23rd August at the Plymouth Coliseum, as the Plymouth Gladiators take on the Berwick Bandits in their final home race meeting of 2025.

That's quite the read!

Conveniently available with no polish fixture this weekend to use as an excuse.

Most team struggle to fit i 1 home 1 away never mind 2

Should do away with the BSN Series, it's only a early season fixture filler and nobody really cares who wins it. I'd rather see the reintroduction of the 4's in some form.

Interesting. They were talking about this on the latest talk speedway podcast.

It could be some end of season tournament for those that didn't qualify for the play offs... then joined by the losing semi finalists or something, I know the fans definitely bought into the 4's, trouble is the riders probably didn't 🤷‍♂️

Used to love going to the Fours at Peterborough. Once they held it over a weekend and included an individual event which was won by Ryan Douglas if I remember rightly. Helped that the weather that weekend was superb.

No, the promoters didn't!     Had to pay their four top-earning riders for three away legs on the proceeds of one home meeting.

The meetings were popular in the 'seventies, when costs were much, much lower.   To try and run such meetings now would be a financial disaster.

Be cheaper to hire Bartosz for a meeting.

Unfortunately the majority of riders only think off one thing .Themselves.

Should Wood have gotten a ride for Hagon?

Said on the stream that Wood was seeing the paramedic about his finger.

Probably why hagon was in heat 11.

Wouldn't have got the tactical if it wasn't a 4-2 in the heat 11 anyway.
