Has anyone noticed that riders are now regularly removing their cut out connectors from their wrists before reaching the pits after a race is completed. Last week Cameron Heeps took his off in heat 15 of Oxford v Poole on the third bend of the last lap when at the back. I know you can argue it’s low level risk but why not keep it attached until the motor is deadened? Must be some rule or other about this? I have posted similar on this forum before, only to be shot down by those 'in the know' that. Throttles never stick, cut outs always work, it's no risk. Mark Thorpe if I remember correctly... I was there that night. All these rules are there for a reason, probably insurance related (?) and if they're not adhered to they probably wouldn't pay out. It is a rule but not an in-forced one but to be honest I don’t care, not something I ever did myself and if a rider feels ok doing it then so what, personally I hate stupid rules like not riding in pits or wearing helmets on parade and doing a start and there are many more, there is a no smoking in pits rule but you would always see Peter Adams leaning up against a pit post with a fag in his hand Edited 1 hour ago by THE DEAN MACHINE Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
