Poole messed up the chance to race yet again against a weakened side using a guest !!!! No wonder Dan isn't happy. Will their luck hold in the rearranged fixture ? p.off fixtures are usually a lottery dependent on the depth of mud. Redcar will be using a guest all season, one week shouldn't make much difference to their team.

It was an empty gesture That makes no sense, why even offer to host the match if they wanted the 2nd leg at home (as is their right)? What would they have done of the weather was perfect. Catalan
Some absolutely crazy comments on here. Fact is Danny is not overly bothered about having the 2nd leg. Everything was in place to run yesterday, BSN had set off and were well on their way when things all went on hold. Forecasts weren't good so decision was made. This decision had to be made before midday otherwise costs soar. Having witnessed the rain we did have, maybe the meeting could have been finished before the heavens opened. 3
SteveLyric2
Maybe Bears 'fans' should read Gavin Parr's comments on FB agreeing with the decision to call it off early. It saved the cost of an overnight hotel for the team south of Oxford which he was able to cancel as riders hadn't started to travel!!

As far as I'm aware this isn't the first time in history a speedway meeting has been postponed! What i mean is calling a meeting off just because it " might " rain later on in the late evening. Quite obvious Poole wanted the second leg at home to see what they needed to score, Redcar should apply the same as i sure they would prefer the second leg. Very silly comment to say as far as your aware! Loads of meetings are called off per season but just seemed too coincidental that Poole was a preempted . And loads are called off because of a bad forecast. If Poole wanted the second leg why arrange to have the first leg.

Also there is no point having second leg in SF, yes in the final. But 1st leg is better in SF.

He also said the weather forecast they had said rain from 5pm, which would mean they looked at the met office one? As that was the only one that had rain that early. Exactly .Early call off will become the norm these days, can’t blame them really, all these moaners are sitting in the house with no intention of going to the match anyway.Anybody intending going won’t mind especially fans with distance to travel.Riders attitude nowadays can’t guarantee they will ride on wet track or if there is drizzle. How convenient, however the cynic in me thinks the Poole promotion realizing Redcar have a meeting at Oxford the next day thought... wait a minute... "how can we swing the odds in our favour". What if Redcar had an injured rider or two. As I said it's me being cynical, they wouldn't possibly hope for that.. Would they 1
Coraldon
only problem I have, is that Redcar finished their maxicab and bsn quarter finals in May and have had to wait for other teams to delay their matches until august,Why?????
